Alex Artist Studio Magnetic Tabletop Easel Kids Art Supplies

My goodness - I love Alex Products! Years ago we had bought a Melissa and Doug large version of this easel and got rid of it when we downsized. This is the perfect size - easy to move, use and store away.What’s in the Box:The Alex Toys 25E Young Artist Studio Magnetic Tabletop Easel includes a roll of paper, a child-safe paper cutter and (4) no-spill paint cups. The easel measures 19.5-inches long by 6.5-inches wide by 18.75-inches high.You will need to buy the accessories product to get the paints, chalks, eraser etc.The cups have closable lids so you need not worry about the paints drying out. The easel comes completely put together so out of the box ready for use - even the paper is already on the roll. I can tell you from having had the larger version of this that its well made and easy to handle and loads of fun.PLEASE NOTE: The paint brushes,eraser and chalks are not available in this set - it's in the accessories set.

Good product.I like that it came with the roll of paper at the top and the paint cups. I did knocked a star off because it didn’t come with any paint brushes, chalk or dry erase markers which I feel like at the very least it should’ve came with brushes.

I always liked Alex products. however I was somehow disappointed with the recent couple of Alex products I ordered from amazon. The easel is solidly made. It has vibrant color and smooth white board and chalk board. Like the magnetic function of the white board, although I wish both sides were magnetic. The size is just right as a table top easel.However, the easel has several annoying design flaws. First there is nothing to hold it open and it collapse easily. Second, the wooden feet are very slippery when placed on a smooth wooden table (as you can imagine). Considering it called a “table-top” easel, it would have been nice to have some “anti-skid” mechanism so it wouldn’t slide all over the place. Due to the above 2 points, it turned into a disaster in 5 min after it’s taken out of the box, when my 5 year old and 20 month old tried to use one side each simultaneously. It completely collapsed and slid off the table. On a less important note, when the easel is closed for storage, there is also nothing to hold it close. it doesn’t open that easily due to its own weight but some mechanism to keep the easel in a desired position is critical. If the manufacturer can resolve the above issues it potentially is a great easel. I didn’t return the it but we won’t use it again until some modification is made on the wooden feet and not staying in open position.UPDATE: I thought people with the same problem with this product might would like to know. I mostly solved the sliding feet problem, simply by sliding one finger of a latex/vinyl glove on to each foot. It gives the feet enough friction to stay in place. So far so good. With the easel collapsing, I’m still pondering on it. Right now I just told my kids to be careful.

This is so much better than the big one with legs. We set it on the kitchen island while we cook so we can see him practicing his letters, and when he paints so we don't have to worry about paint on the floor. Folds up nicely. We bought a tote and chalk, magnetic letters, dry erase markers, paint and brushes. He loved getting this for his 6th birthday.

My 3 year old loves it! The only thing is that it doesn’t come with any paints or anything extra! Just the easel which is whatever my kid still loves it. It fits right on a kids table.

Does not need to be build so that’s a plus! It’s adorable great size. You will have to buy paintbrush’s they do not include them but overall it’s great!

Perfect size for my daughter! It can be set up on the floor or her little table. She loves it. It is also good quality material, rhat i see lasting awhile.I do wish it had anti-slide feet, but, not a deal breaker. And the paper doesnt stay down well when painting or drawing. Had to place it back under the holder several times. Nothing a little tape can't fix. And I love the safe cutter (ripper) at the bottom, but, it would be more useful at the top, so, you don't have to wait for the paper to dry before you can use it.It would also be ideal if there was a way to keep the easel open, so it doesn't accidently get pushed and fold up on itself and tip over.

I am very pleased with this art studio. The paint cups are very nice. The product came already assembled and is extremely sturdy. You will have to buy the paint, brushes, chalk and eraser separately.

My daughter absolutely loves this .

they have made a good all in one product.the quality is also good.only problem is sometimes if my daughter pulls it, it falls on her head. th base should have been more sturdy.
