It does improve the sound quality slightly，making the sound more clearer more stereo，but i don‘t think it worth 50pounds to make that tiny change

Ma per voi potrebbe funzionare alla perfezione. Nel mio caso si trattava di un problema di ground loop, vale a dire correnti parassite che si originano quando quando ci sono più collegamenti a massa, cosa che si verifica facilmente se si collegano tra loro diverse apparecchiature audio che sono collegate direttamente a massa e a loro volta le masse dei vari apparecchi sono collegate fra loro dai cavi audio. Se poi nel mezzo c'è pure un PC con un efficiente alimentatore switching le cose si complicano ulteriormente, perchè ci sono interfaccie audio e amplificatori - non di basso costo - progettati tenendo conto dei disturbi che possono arrivare dall'alimentazione, ma gli apparecchi più economici subiscono sia il fenomeno del ground loop che le correnti spurie generate dagli alimentatori switching.Non ero certo di cosa causasse il rumore di fondo della Presonus STUDIO 68c, anche se scompariva staccando il cavo usb e presumibilmente era un problema di ground loop. Ho collegato l'iFi iSilencer + al PC e il rumore si è amplificato notevolmente. Ho provato a collegare la chiavetta alla scheda audio usandola quindi al contrario, ma stesso risultato.Ho provato l'altra chiavetta di iFi, ossia la iDefender+, e il rumore è sparito, anche se ho dovuto collegarla direttamente alla scheda audio e non al PC come da istruzioni.Quello che mi ha lasciato sorpreso, nel caso della iSilencer + è stata addirittura l'amplificazione del disturbo.Comunque se la iDefender+ è stata molto utile per il ground loop della scheda audio, per risolvere gli ulteriori disturbi causati dal PC ho utilizzato un isolatore di massa sull'ingresso dell'amplificatore. Si tratta di trasformatori 1:1 e ce ne sono di specifici contro i disturbi degli alimentatori dei PC come il Palmer PLI-03 o il PCX2 Exonerator di Silverline. Non sono economici ma risolvono il problema senza alterare il suono.

Noise Reduction:I own a 2018 MacBook Air. Apple and several other laptop manufacturers make decent machines with great components and in most cases noise is not an issue. However, my laptop has always had a rather noisy USB C port (specifically the second one from the top) most likely unit specific as I have used my plug and play dongle dacs on other systems and not experienced the same level of fatigue as I would on mine due to what I presume is low level noise that over time made long session’s impossible. Further more, (and I want to specify that this may just be in my unit and not other MacBook Air models) but there would be moments when during heavy use of several apps; Apple music, Adobe Apps, IMovie.. I’d almost hear my laptop chugging bits through my dongle dac and through my earphones. The Dac in question is a Radstone Hud100. Low level Noise, the then-induced fatigue and the wild beeps and boops ceased to exist when I plugged in this guy. It’s actually pretty incredible! ( I do think it’s time I get a new laptop though..)Sound Quality:Music sounds more cavernous. Well spaced. Layering is somewhat enhanced. Then again most of that depends on your system but the iSilencer somehow acts like windex to the glass pane that is your system and earphones/headphones. Tracks sound, to me atleast, almost 30-40% more transparent. The change in experience is noticeable, almost immediately. Bass is defined better, reaches deeper. Mids are more present (maybe a touch brighter). Treble doesn’t change much but “air” is what I feel can be detected better. My enjoyment of music has increased since I got this thing and at the end of the day that’s what I want to pass on and hope you get from this device, again, if it fits your use case…Great stuff Ifi team.
