If you're "old school," you will love this saw!
Unfortunately, handsaws have long been taking a back seat to power saws, resulting in a decline in sales. Many tool manufacturers have either quit making them, or resorted to cost-cutting measures that have resulted in, well, cheap saws, many with plastic or rubber handles mounted insecurely and blades that are too thin to be stable. These Irwin saws have sturdy blades and hardwood handles with enhancing rubber grips. Those handles are mounted to the blade with real bolts. Well-cared for, these saws will serve you well for a long time, cutting rapidly and cleanly.

Great handsaw
Great little saw.Sharp and made of high high quality materials and workmanship.I use it professionally, so it's certainly worth the money.Compact easy to use but highly functional size.I'd buy it again. I'm happy with it.

Handy little saw.
Fast cutting handy sized saw with a nice handle. I use this mostly for finishing the cuts where two circular saw cuts intersect at 90 degrees. This keeps the joint stronger and saves a bit of wood when cutting up panels. This saw cuts fast and clean. It is not resharpenable, but at this price I'll just replace it. The teeth are quite hard so should cut well for an extended period. I like the shorter length of this saw and the hole on the end of the blade to hang it up with. I also bought the mate to this saw with the coarser blade. Makes a nice pair of saws for a guy who usually uses power saws.

Pretty solid saw, nice and rigid.
Cuts well, fairly clean on Pine 2x4, and even nicer on Oak also. Nice rigid blade. My only complaint, I have large hands, and the handle pinches at the bottom a little. Becomes annoying with long, or multiple cuts. Wearing heavy gloves helps a little to avoid skin pinching, but it's still too small to be comfortable. The pinch occurs right at the bottom, where the blue ends and yellow plastic meet the lower curve.

Nice little saw & SHARP
Got both the coarse & fine tooth saws to keep in work truck. First cut was a hard seasoned 2x6 with the coarse. Cut took less than 90 seconds from first pull to last stroke. Comfortable handles, good size, well balanced. Highly recommended for a toolbox saw.

Cuts wood fast
This is, by far, the finest hand saw I have owned. It cuts faster and with less effort than any other.Clean residue off the sides of the blade as needed.Keep your fingers out of the way.Enjoy!

Feels good in the hand. Cuts through 2x4s like butter. What else can you adk for in a saw.

It's OK, but not that great...
Cuts well, of course - that's the main thing. Looks nice too. However, the description is not accurate in a few points:- It says 12 t.p.i. (teeth per inch) when there actually are only 10 t.p.i.- It says 15'' blade, but there's 1 inch wrapped in the handle, which gives you only 14'' of usable blade.- It says made in China, but the saw says it's made in Denmark.Other annoying stuff:- the handle is not properly positioned with the blade. It should slightly tilt upward instead of being in straight line with the blade. This is a big flaw, in my opinion.- the handle is also too big for my hand (I have normal hands), not giving such a good grip.- there is no angle on the handle (square and miter feature)- there is no protection sleeve (Canadian Tire models all have one).- the overall cost is not worth it. Canadian Tire models offer more features for less money.By the way... if the handle feels loose, just tighten the screws to fix this.I ordered this saw because I saw so many 5 stars reviews. I was mislead by these. This saw definitely does not deserve 5 stars.I would not buy again, and I don't think I would recommend this product.
