Against All Odds: The Guinea Pig Story: Flying Machines and Their Heroes Volume 2

The book contains some shocking images of the terrible injuries that pilots suffered in the war, but while they are somewhat harrowing, this book is really about the triumph of human spirit over such adversity. I hadn't heard of the Guinea Pig Club or Archy McIndoe, but now, having read this whole series of books, I have to say this one stands out above the rest. Beautifully written and uplifting.

Just read this book I found it very compelling. I wasn't aware that there was a guinea pig club and what they suffered and there loyalty for one another.These were truely brave people.Sir Archie Mcindoe is truly a legend. With all the good work that he did. Indeed this book truly tells the story. And certainly deserves five stars.
