and have been very happy with them ~ a terrific product at a reasonable ...
I've had at least 10 of these shades before the 3 I recently bought and installed, and have been very happy with them ~ a terrific product at a reasonable price, and look so nice when in use. Because these need to be very carefully cut & balanced I measure, re-measure and double-check at least six times which is fine because the finished product is excellent (have I mentioned that I really, really like these). This time I ordered 3 shades: two 48" and one 60" . One was damaged in transit (clearly not the seller's fault). They said they'll credit up to $6.25 for shipping which was over $12 - not a big issue but a little disappointing. On the over-and-above side Amazon sent out the replacement shade immediately and it arrived at 7:30 on a Sunday morning on a holiday weekend. The problem is that with all 3 of these shades for some reason every single one seems to have a weakness on one side so when they are in the UP position they hang very lopsided and nothing I've done seems to work in keeping that weak side up on each of the 3. Removing them isn't likely an option because the self-stick is very tight and it appears that there would be damage removing it from the window frame. Unfortunately the 3 shades are on a wall of windows that are the focal point of my house. All of the windows in my last house and most of the windows in this house now have these shades and I have recommended them to many but this time I'm in a bind and not sure what to do about the most recent 3.

Cheap crap! See my photos and do not buy from RediShade
Take a look at my pictures... cheap ass crap! You can see the cheapness just at step 1... trimming. Following the instructions and reviewing the tutorial videos before the first cut it seemed like this would trim and install nicely. Far from it in reality!!! I will be filing a refund complaint with the seller via Amazon to start, if no movement I'll dispute the charge on my card. Buyer beware is still alive and well! Don't buy these pieces of crap, spend a little extra at your local installer or big box store. @RediShade should be ashamed of themselves for not putting quality into the product. Good design, poor craftsmanship.

Customer Service
In April 2018 we purchased 2 Easy Lift Trim-at-Home Cellular Light Filtering Fabric Shades. The one shade started to not raise. After ordering another shade in December 2019 to replace the shade that didn't work I contacted Customer Service just to let them know about the problem. I was informed that the shades have a warranty and that they would replace the shade which they did. I had also mentioned that in May 2019 I had ordered 2 light blocking shades and that the adhesive had failed on both and that I needed to purchase double-sided adhesive tape to put them back up. Customer Service also informed me that they would replace them which they did. We have other Easy Lift Shades which work fine and we really like them. We were happy that RediShade responded promptly and quickly replaced the shades. They have a very good warranty and make very nice blinds.

Things went downhill..
The first gen of this model of blind worked great - zero issues. This new second Gen model included some helpful upgrades, and they cut easy with a filet knife and hang up in minutes. They also look great, despite being cheap. However, plan to always enjoy them fully deployed. The retract mechanism in 5 out of 5 units was defective - they either retract lopsided as one reveiwer shows in their pics, or they dont retract at all. At some point, they will all need replacing. Unsurprising at this price point, but I had such good luck with the first gen models. Shame things went downhill..

Disappointed
03/05/18 Update: the shade that was replaced broke AGAIN. The unreliability of these shades forces me to change my original review from 4 stars to 1. While the idea and price are great, the product just doesn't deliver. I can't reccomend these shades. Just spend a little extra for quality.11/01/17 Update: It's been almost 4 months since I've ordered these and I have ordered more. Unfortunately, one of the blinds did break so I contacted RediShade because they state that they will "run through a brick wall to make things right" if they're customers are dissatisfied in any way. They responded to my email within a few hours and sent a replacement the next day! I am very happy with this company and the fact that they actually do stand by their product. I will definitely be using redi shade for all of my window treatments.Just received and installed this today. So far, I love it!! We cleaned the top trim of the window really good and that thing is NOT coming down. For the reviews that say it's not sticking, I have to assume they didn't clean the trim because that baby is STUCK on ours. It would take some serious work to get it off. Cutting to size was a piece of cake and install was even easier. The reason im giving 4 stars is because I ordered what I assume was an "open box" item where the description assured no damage to the actual item but just that the original packaging had some damage. Unfortunately the blinds did have some minor damage, a small dent on the top plastic and a tiny crack on the side but I just made sure the damaged side was facing inward so it will never be seen. Amazon could maybe do a better job inspecting open box for a more accurate description. Other than that, I am EXTREMELY happy with this purchase and would absolutely reccomend it to others.

Shade won't go up anymore
I loved these shades when I first got them, and until the first one broke this morning. I paid $36 each for the first ones I bought and about $30 for the ones I bought after the price dropped a bit. This morning when I went to open one of them, it wouldn't go up. The mechanism for that seems to have broken. I hope that this doesn't happen on all windows...that would be an expensive mistake. I'm not sure if this is one that I bought 6 months ago, or up to a year ago. Either way, it would be expensive to replace all of them again. I'm not sure whether I will replace this one window with another of these, or replace all 3 windows in the room with something else. I wasn't hoping to replace the window treatments every 6 months-year. Sad.

Super Easy to Install, look and work great. Some did unstick.
I bought at least 20 of these in different sizes for a quick solution to the blind-less windows in my new house. I thought they were just for temporary use and I didn't realize how great the quality was. They are actually a mechanical and engineering marvel. You can cut right though the entire mechanism to get them the right size, and yet they contain an elaborate string mechanism so you can raise or lower them to any height. They look great like expensive blinds. If you just kept these and never bought permanent blinds no one would know. Of the 20, two of them randomly unstuck and fell down but i just used some picture handing nails to secure them again and they work great. A nice, good looking affordable easy solution for window covering.

Adhesive quality seems inconsistent
I want to love these blinds - they look great - I’ve used the same ones elsewhere with no issues. I bought two for matching brand new windows. On one the adhesive is holding great, the other not at all. The quality just isn’t what I’ve come to expect from this product and I expect better for the price. I’ve tried contacting customer service but have yet to get a response....it’s very disappointing.

Must buy if you need blinds and like convenience.
Trim to size with kitchen knife, peel off plastic, stick to window frame. Done. Installing these was the easiest thing I ever did, and I’ve stolen candy from babies. I cannot overstate how happy I am with this product.** Edit 6 months later, these blinds still please me. They are starting to not push up as easily as they did when first purchased, but they still work. Also one of them is drooping where it mounted to the top of the window frame. My guess is that the double sided sticky tape that I used to mount it is giving way so I'll probably need to buy some of that and re-mount it. I'm still satisfied enough that I'm buying a few more for some other rooms that I never got around to dealing with last time. Cost vs value ratio is still high enough that I consider this a superb product.

Works for the most part
I ordered 3 for the 57 inch wide windows in my basement. The first 3 shades that arrived were broken through shipping. You could see the creases in the cardboard. The replacements arrived quickly and thankfully were okay, one was broken on the end but it was the end where I chose to cut off 3 inches anyway so it was ok.Install: The wood frame was cleaned with alcohol but the adhesion against it is TERRIBLE. Would work better against a smooth plastic inner frame - but because I didn't want the placement too deep it had to be against the wood frame. It didn't fall off the first window but it fell off the second window - twice. I had to go back and put 3 screws in each shade at the top. They really need to provide clips and screws to install instead. If it doesn't fall off within the year it probably will the following year. Once installed it actually looked very good. The beige was very neutral and bright. A pretty good deal considering the size of the window required and the cost of real shades from the cheapest online supplier.

Impressive!
I bought this at a whim for my window that already has a Venetian blind, thinking it would not last very long as the material is made of cellular (- in other words- paper.) The kit comes with a cutting guide to help you trim the shade straight and clean. The instructions say to use a 4" sharp knife, but I recommend using a longer fine serrated knife for this.( Ignore the ruler that was stuck on the ends of the shade and use your measuring tape instead.) The installation was a breeze and it looked professional and costs much less than if you brought from a window treatment company. I tested for durably by tearing the discarded cut end and it was quite hard to do. The bonus is the energy savings feature when the shades are drawn.
