Mens Blue Denim Jean Vest | Short Sleeveless Gilet Jacket with Concealed Carry Gun Holsters M

By way of introduction, I'm a 15-year patchholder who's worn out four denim vests, and I was ready to upgrade. I was about to buy something like this from the NRA store, then I saw Jafrum's for 1/2 the money & couldn't resist giving it a try.Pros: It is heavy-weight denim with decent quality stitching, made in Pakistan like lots of other value-priced riding gear. The zipper on the inside pocket is very smooth operating, nice for one hand access to your smokes. Snap closure makes it SO much easier to find extenders. I took previous buyers' recommendations for sizing, adding four inches to my actual chest measurement (which happened to coincide with the jacket size I usually buy), and got a perfect fit. The gun pockets are generous and due to the layering of material, my Taurus PT709 carry piece does not print. There's not a lot of overlapping material in the usual places we sew patches. It stood up to machine washing (before I sewed patches) just fine. The denim is darker than pictured, which I actually like. The orange lining doesn't bother me, because it doesn't show, and I like the contrast stitching too. It's already a vest, so I didn't have to mess with cutting sleeves and customizing linings. Assuming it lasts for more than a year or two in the wind, it could end up looking like the one in the picture ;)Cons: First of all, I expect to have to modify any stock cut I buy, and this was no different. Collar stays would be nice on what's advertised as a "motorcycle vest;" I riveted these down like I always do to keep 'em from flapping in the breeze. One of the gun pocket snaps fell apart on the fourth test; fortunately I had more snaps on hand & replaced it (so what if it doesn't match, it's on the inside). The iPhone pocket has nothing to secure your fancy electronics; I use it for club courtesy cards. There are no elastic straps in the rightside gun pocket, so this is a righthand vest only - don't know what they intend the empty pocket for - I plan to sew in a counterweight holder of some kind so my extenders aren't obviously slanted when I'm carrying. Finally, no part of my Taurus will fit through the elastic retention strap in the leftside gun pocket, nor I suspect will any handgun without much barrel past the trigger guard. I use it and the smaller strap for spare magazines. The Taurus rides comfortably loose in the bottom of the compartment though (where as mentioned it does not print), but I'll need to sew up the bottom inch or so of the pocket opening to keep it from peeking it's butt out - probably wouldn't be a problem with a larger vest or smaller piece.I have no way knowing how well this cut will hold up (I expected my last one, a Carhartt jacket I converted, to last more than a year, but oh well), or how hot it will wear in the desert summer, but so far I'm pleased, especially for the money! Several other members of my crew have expressed interest too, and I bet Jafrum sells a ton of these. Now enough sitting at the computer, it's time for a ride!

Have not had much of a chance to wear. Plan to wear more now that its spring time. Lots of pockets and great quality. I don't have a motorcycle. I will use for bicycle ride to and from work. Excellent quality!

This is not exactly what it looks like. The denim is much darker than the picture and the jacket is really thick. I'd suggest other potential buyers to not get this or maybe go to a store instead and buy a jacket.

Well made. But too heavy for my taste. If your looking for a heavy vest this one is for you. Great lining & gun pockets are great. I was looking for something lighter, but I kept this vest to wear in colder weather. Very heavy demin!!

Great fit! Turtleneck/mock turtleneck underneath and it will look greater still! Plenty of pockets inside for cell phone and keys and what have you. Very nice denim jacket!! :):):) Thank you!
