The Route Masters: Running London's Roads
What an incredible documentary of London's transport ,and about the people who all help to keep London moving, from the bus driver's, the cabbies, road menders, and of course the Police.I used to live and work in London in the late sixties ,and I was stunned how much more crowded the city has become since I lived there. Watching the film you soon realise how many different nationalities now live in our capital city, with over a hundred different languages spoken it must be a bit of a nightmare for all those involved in running the transport system. The film has certainly opened many memories up for me, and I saw lots of places which I remember, and a great many which I did not.You have to remember that this set of dvd's only deals with surface traffic, as you know London has a super tube network too, but it is quite staggering just how many people live and work in greater London. I had forgotten how big London is, and this documentary really brings it home to you.The BBC have really done a super job,I would recommend this documentary to anyone interested in transport, and also those wishing to go to London on a visit.............it has certainly opened my eyes up after all these years since I left there!

Routemasters hiding London from the public eye
A insightful trip behind the scenes of TFL , some parts of it are intresting , some bits are boring , some bits have Stuart Rigby in , who is the star of the show .Doesn't really show how bad it can be driving a bus in London , but the rest of it is ok

Great nostalgic trip, coiupled with modern outlook as well.
Better than I thought. Well edited and covers everything about these seemingly ageless vehicles. I know some people say the programs are not really about the old Routemaster buses, but leaving that argument aside, this is a must for anyone who likes a bit if nostalgia, but also with modern thrown in as well.

This is not about buses - misleading title and picture
This DVD was not what we expected. I bought this DVD as a present for my husband, expecting it to be about Routemaster buses. There is a picture of a bus on the front cover and one of the reviewers says it is a present for a bus enthusiast. The DVD was disappointing.
