FAR/AIM 2021: Federal Aviation Regulations/Aeronautical Information Manual (ASA FAR/AIM Series)

Great to keep up with FAR and AIM regulations.

Actually, in all seriousness, ASA does a good job listing all the updates and changes from the prior year in the first page to make it easy for you. And ASA makes a well made book with quality pages that stand up to highlighting and marking/tabbing. Good resource for staying and flying legal. I also have a online app version for my phone, which is great and faster for looking things up on the fly, but having a backup hardcopy paper version of anything has been so deeply ingrained during my PPL training that I also buy a paper version every other year.The snazzy pictures of complex and high performance planes that have graced the covers over the years is pretty cool, but it'll be a lot cooler to maybe one day see a beat up club trainer plane on the cover, like a tired 172 or a rickety Piper Warrior.

Thorough

A fascinating novel of heroic adventure. Man seeks to fly, but has to overcome many challenges along his journey as the main villain attempts to strike him down with regulation after regulation. Will he reach the prized goal of growing wings and flying wild? Or will the evil agency win and keep him grounded? This one is sure to keep you turning the page as you follow the adventure. But don’t take my word for it!

It was a cold winter night and I was completely lost on a hike I had began that morning. I had been walking for hours and hypothermia was beginning to set in. I found a small overhang from a towering rock wall and sat down. I knew my time would come to an end if I didn't do something. I cracked open this baby I quickly tore out the pages talking about making radio calls at an untowered field (everyone else does this upon arrival) and used the pages to start a fire!

The FAR/AIM publication is a must for pilots and it's an excellent publication. Unfortunately Amazon packaged it poorly- simply dropped it into a very loose-fitting box with zero packing and so it got beat to hell during shipping. I was so disgusted I threw it in the trash and bought a new copy locally (which is what I should have done in the first place). So, A+ for the publication, F- for Amazon's shipping.

To review this book is like to review U.S. law lol. Get it now if you haven't. Go to the front section, pick your rating, and tab AND highlight each of those sections. I even title the tabs, trust me: if you have a fair examiner, it will look amazing to them.

It's the FAR/AIM for this year. If you owned one last year, you will receive the exact same thing spare updates and edits for the current year. If you have never owned this before, prepare yourself for one of the most incredibly dry and mandatory journeys you have ever faced. All hail the FAR/AIM.
