This is a fabulous book that will give you the mental and strategic tools you need to create a profitable trading style. The book is effective because it is a fun read with several reality checks. You need to put in the work, learn the tools and practice. The strategies are mapped out in an easy-to-understand graphic form. There is a strong sense throughout that the author is absolutely genuine about conveying his experience and providing the best possible guidance in steering clear of the risky pitfalls of ill-advised trades. He also gives practical advice about setting up trading accounts, accessibility of trading platform tools, and the impact of commissions. Reviewers that expect specific guidance in selecting trades are failing to realize that every set up has a unique set of circumstances that must be evaluated against criteria that becomes meaningful to each individual trader with time and experience. I am very grateful for this book; it was exactly what I needed, and I highly recommend it to trader that want to learn options.

I needed some specific information that the book provided.

I read this book as a Kindle book. It is much more full sized than most Kindles. It is also very well written & explains what you need to know before trading options. I think it would be more valuable for a beginning option trader since most of it covers basics. There is no perfect trading method described in this book, but it makes a trader think correctly that trades cannot be guaranteed to be successful. Your odds of success can be positive though.

A very good non-technical book for a person thinking about options. The advice given quite good. Well writen. Gives good advice. The negatives (and none of these should stop the intended audience from purchasing it) are:1] Not much help in chosing which options to trade. His advice about paper trading for a year is right on. That way one gets a lot of OTJ training.2] One needs to learn more about chosing the proper time to expiration3] One needs to learning how to chose the proper strike price.4] What to watch out for such as earnings reports before expirationI recommend this as a first read then going on to read others such as Guy Cohens' The Bible of Option Strategies and Dan Passerll's Trading the Greeks to make those trades still more profitable.

The information in this book is very useful for those getting started with options trading. The book explains example of when certain types of trades would be done which is very helpful. Also great tip you use when you know you want to buy a stock anyways (you got to read it to get the tip). Not the best written book, but one of the best in terms of useful info for beginners.

This book mostly covers selling options, and not too much about buying strategy. Decent read for a basic start

This book does an excellent job describing, in just enough detail, the most well-known option strategies - from the basic to the more complex. The information provided was easy to comprehend and I was able to take my new-found knowledge and apply it real-time with a solid understanding of the risk/reward probabilities involved with each strategy. I have read several option strategy books, and this is by far one of the best I've read. Highly recommended.

I have purchased several books and all seem to have their good points. This one I like because it provides quite a bit of good information about each type of strategy. It is easy to read and you can quickly go through it when you know what you are looking for (example is that I am only interested in certain types of trades because of my limited experience). But once I become more experienced, I will go back to the sections that may be of interest to me then.I would recommend this book for folks who are new to options trading.

A great book - very clearly written with lots of examples and pictures. It strikes just the right balance between the Math/theory behind Options trading and what you need to know to get started trading using today's online trading platforms.

Livro didático, exemplos práticos bem explicados, mas para iniciantes em operações com opções. Traz o básico que todo trader de opções deve conhecer. Poderia tratar mais a fundo cada operação, com possíveis ajustes necessários durante a operação de cada estratégia.

Es un libro realmente excelente, ya que es claro, conciso y va directamente al grano. Recomendado 100%, tanto para principiantes como para personas expertas en el mundo de las opciones. A veces las estrategias más complejas no son las más rentables y el autor del libro lo explica muy bien en su obra y dando consejos en los que se aprecia su honestidad y que se trata de un excelente profesional, sobretodo cuando hace hincapié en la gestión del riesgo y en el tema probabilístico antes de ejecutar un trade.Me quedo con ganas de que escriba otro libro con sus técnicas para seleccionar los trades...Es una obra que te entra, abre tu mente a las enormes posibilidades del mundo de las opciones y da mucho que pensar.
