Works very well. No problems using compatible inks which keeps costs down. Photo printing is high quality and reasonably quick.

This printer replaced a canon MG5650 which gave up the ghost after 8 years. My 3rd canon printer. Home use only. Compared to MG 5650 it is very poorly built and feels really flimsy. The set up was a real pain and I am an IT person. Took 3 attempts to install without error and I had to remove the partly installed software each time. The software capability does not come anywhere near that of the MG5650 although the quality is better especially on photo paper. The output tray is a damn nuisance as it does not self retract after use and the only way to get it to retract is by switching the power off. There is also a setting you need to set for this. You cannot add paper to the cassette while printing which you could with the other canon printers.All in all it produces very good quality prints, photocopies very well and scans very quickly but I am not convinced it will last very long. We will wait and see. BTW if you have an existing canon printer the cartridges fit but do not work. Really annoying as I had a lot of cartridges for the MG5650. For home use it is fine but do not think it would survive heavy home office use.

Despite the reviews saying set up was tricky we hade this compact stylish pretty printer set up in no time. Intuitive and easy to use. Print at Walmart weekly from own phone or pc and am really happy with it.

Supplied a few of these and good home use printer which uses low cost compatible inks without fuss.

Easy to install easy to use great printing good value for money

It worked twelve times and then decided it had a paper jam with an error code 1295. I could blame the engineers who designed it, the accountants are substituted rubbish parts but I keep my disgust for the buyer who allowed this heap of junk onto Amazon.

I love this little printer. I’ve had Epson and HP in the past but wanted to give Canon a go. My primary decision was that wanted one that was still capable of printing to discs. Anyway, it does the job and I found it easy enough to install. The printer acts as a WiFi device so you briefly switch your device to the printer as the WiFi in order to set it up. It connected first time and I can print from any device capable of WiFi. My only criticism with all printers is the cost of ink. I never understand why it’s cheaper to actually buy a new printer than it is to buy the ink for them! Companies seriously need to come up with better, affordable ways to produce ink without causing environmental waste.
