Please sir may I have some more?
This feels as though it was as much fun writing as it is reading. Trying to write a story about the layers of what story telling does to our world using our own stories, some only thinly veiled. Makes me wish for a world without copyright so that more tales could take this path.Itβs almost a kind of fan fiction that goes beyond admiration of material into revelation of the materials ability.Just fun, thought provoking, powerful, and light hearted. All while maintaining the feel of a young adult genre novel that has graduated from college.

Thar she blows
In Volume 4, The Unwritten continues to barrel forward in it's tale of Tom Taylor and his friends. In the new edition, Tom, Savoy, and Sue go whale hunting, looking for the source of the magic that has been manipulating them all this time. This volume is probably the best out of the first four volumes of the Unwritten. It has everything from great character interactions, an exciting plot, and tons of humor, both from the story itself and all the meta-humor. Pick it up as soon as you can.

What is the Source?
Tom Taylor is searching for the Source of the creative spirit/power that imbibes literature, and he finds it in the ocean, in the monstrous Leviathan...Meanwhile, Savoy is realizing just how potent Count Ambrosio's bite might have been, and a Puppeteer gives Savoy and Lizzie Hexam a glimpse of their future. And in another world, an endless staircase and an endless quest, leading ever upward towards the top of the stairs, is disrupted by the sudden arrival of a certain rabbit who will stand for nothing but his own gain and survival.

Good comic series
Well worth reading if you like comics in the literary fantasy school (think Fables, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and Sandman for the genre). First 6 volumes tell a very good story and I look forward to reading more. Definitely start with volume 1 though.

choppy foray into post modern literary theory
I didn't like this volume as much as the last few. This volume is chopped into a series of scenes, each only a few pages long. The format is jarring and seems intent on masking a thin plot bogged down in lectures taken from a lit crit class. The magic captured by the first few volumes seems to have given way to the musings of a theory-bound academic who takes themselves too seriously. Not fun.

Is not whatit says it is
This is nor volume 4 this is one of the first issues in the series. Its actually in volume one. Is not 144 pages more like 30 pages. Its not even the same picture. I would like my money back

Great as usual.
Love this series, and it continues to be great. If you like the Previous books you'll like this on as well.

Five Stars
This one is a little weird but good like all the others.

and our vampire friend are excellent characters as
A bit weak in my opinion it is required as it helps you understand what comes later on, but it can feel a bit of a slog as there is very little focus on any of the B arcs, as Hexem, and our vampire friend are excellent characters as well
