I bought this book because I'm from Austin, love vampire novels and believed Austin would make a fabulous base city for creatures of the night. Ms. Sylvan exceeded my hopes and expectations. Set in an entirely new and intriguing fictional/parallel reality, this novel is chock full of schemes between vampire cultures, a talented and kick-ass heroine, a smoldering, handsome and sexy hero and, of course, the wonderfully weird city of Austin! I can't say enough good things about this novel without giving away the plot. I am delighted to see more books in this series, and can't wait to read them. Well done, Ms. Sylvan
