Could not be more pleased!
I have never bought a mattress online before but needed to a new mattress for our camper and online ordering is about the only option. I was particularly skeptical about this mattress due to the excellent pricing. I’ve also never had a memory foam mattress and wasn’t sure if it was for me. Based on the very good reviews on this product up I decided to bite the bullet. Well…let me tell you that every one of my concerns have been proven unfounded. I ordered it last week and it arrived within days - almost a week early. I put it in the camper on Wednesday afternoon. I detected a very faint odor, which was actually quite pleasant, and when I went in to check progress the next day the odor was gone. The instructions indicated it would take 2 to 3 days to fully decompress but we already had a camping weekend planned and slept on it at the end of day 2 - Friday It was VERY firm and on Saturday morning I thought I might need to put a foam topper on it. On Saturday night, end of day 3, the mattress was extremely comfortable and slept great. I really didn’t want to get out of bed Sunday morning. The mattress is the right combination of firm/soft for us, we have observed no heat accumulation, and no odor. Could not be happier with it!

Good product - just be careful with your purchase
I really wanted to like this mattress. I especially liked the description stating "fast response" foam. That's exactly what I look for in memory foam. It means "what you sink, is what you get" ... the first sink-in that you get when lying down on it is basically all the sink that happens. You don't keep mooshing farther and farther down in the next 5-10 minutes, until you're in a semi-permanent pothole that you have to climb out of, just to roll on your side. It means when you roll to your side, the foam responds immediately in front and behind you. You get real-time comfort. My experience with “gel-infused” versions is that they’re really mooshy. I researched and estimated that the layers (6”, 3”, 3”) were perfect. And when it arrived, my recollection is that it was exactly the sink and support that I liked. Unfortunately, this particular mattress also came with a mold problem. Especially under pandemic conditions, this is an understandable risk. Imagine a shipment of mattresses from China sitting in a container ship off Long Beach for 4 months. If the vacuum-sealed plastic bag has the slightest imperfection in the seal, or had the smallest bit of moisture in it at the factory, you get a nasty surprise. So the product smelled a little "off" (indefinably) when I opened it, but smelled worse, not better, after a few days. After a week and a spray with lysol, it was finally intolerable, then clearly like a nasty bath towel unwashed for too long.Mostly I wanted to offer a rational review of what this is like, because I've seen some flaming, unhelpful reviews when a foam mattress smells "terrible." Here's the skinny. If it's Certipur rated, it's not going to have a *huge* smell out of the bag. Very mild foam smell, maybe, but not much. If the smell is acrid and biting, and gets worse over time (days), you have a micro-organism problem. Just take action. Don't expose yourself and your home unnecessarily, and then gripe about it.I *was* able to get my money back. I had not removed the labels, and I can follow directions, so I reported it and completed all the required steps. We have dumpsters at my apartment complex. It's a little hard for me to speak to the comfort, because I couldn't sleep on it for any length of time. I ended up sleeping in another room when the smell worsened. The worst part of this experience is that I just can’t take another chance with this product, despite wanting to. Now I have to consider carefully what I’d do if the product is in good condition, but doesn't meet my needs. I've checked out how to compress a memory foam mattress when moving a home. Now I'm prepared to do something similar every time I order a foam bed product. I observe how it comes out of the box, i.e. how is it folded. I cut the bag very carefully at the end, not willy-nilly. I save the original bag, or get one of those plastic mattress bags from a self-storage place.I've read about sealing the bag with packing tape or duct-tape, except for a 4-in hole, into which I insert a vacuum cleaner's hose and tape tightly. Turn on the vacuum cleaner and guide it into the right sized bundle to get back in the box. Sounds doable enough. But in the end, I just couldn’t bring myself to reorder. And the full-xl 12-inch has been out of stock for quite a while. Guess it wasn’t meant to be. I ended up going with an online company that offered a completely free return/pickup and have been trying foam toppers until I get the support that’s just right.UPDATE: I can report the above repackaging method is best done w 2 people. 1 person lies on the foam to compress (and alternately roll) it, the other person works the vacuum, ensuring the nozzle is not blocked by the foam and the vacuum doesn't overheat. If necessary, buy a plastic mattress bag from self-storage and a box that's 50 percent larger than original box. Stage the box right next to the mattress, so you waste no time in transit to the box.I accomplished this alone, but it was the stuff of an outrageously funny, time-lapse video, and I was a sweaty, exhausted mess by the end.

Fantastic replacement mattress
I couldn't be happier with the purchase. Read further to see if your situation is similar. This mattress is a perfect, great priced, replacement for our 15 year old, saggy beauty rest. It is extremely comfortable. The memory foam top layer feels just like our old memory foam topper we bought to improve our old mattress. We had no problems opening, unfolding, expanding etc.I will say, the mattress is firmer than we are used to. But, we put our old mattress topper on it and that did the trick. I sleep like a rock, sometimes not moving all night. I can also sleep on my side with no trouble. I do sink into the memory foam. You have to know that sinking into memory foam is part of the experience. I like it. If you don't, you might look at mattresses that don't use memory foam. For me, it was a proven technology and it works fine.I got excited when I discovered these mattress in a bag options. I researched Leesa, Casper, Tuft and Needle, then found Resort Sleep. I'm guessing all those others are perfectly good mattresses. But, Resort Sleep was almost half the price of T&N and more than half the price of the rest. And, remember, I was looking for a less expensive alternative to the traditional mattress.I already have the box springs and bed frame. So, this mattress was all I needed. It is a simple replacement. Let's face it, if you are reading this, you are looking for a cheap alternative to buying an expensive mattress. This is exactly my situation. I had an old mattress that could be flipped and both sides had depressions. For years, I have put off getting a replacement because I simply don't believe the story that mattress companies discovered or designed a real non-flippable bed, meaning that it had no need to be flipped. I never saw any research, review, or description that could explain why mattresses would no longer get depressions and therefore didn't need to be flipped. What it looked like was that companies decided to save money by removing the extra materials on one side. I really hated the idea of paying lots of money to a store that was lying to me. Then, along came these new mattress in a box options. True, they don't flip, but, hopefully they won't get the depressions that traditional beds do. And, if it does, I paid 75% less than the non-flipping alternative. If it lasts me five years, I will think it was a great deal. If I was starting from scratch and had to by a frame, the same would be true with any choice, and I still think this mattress would be perfect. Two cautions about ANY mattress in a box.1. Read the box carefully before opening it! Amazon shipped me the wrong mattress. It said king on the box which almost stopped me from opening it. But the packing slip, the order, the order confirmation, etc, all said Cal King. So, I opened it. I should have believed the box. It was a king and completely unusable in my situation. Customer service at Resort Sleep has been great, and, within days, I had the mattress I really want. It wouldn't have been a problem if the box said twin, queen, full. Its was just the king/cal king mix up that got me. READ THE BOX. If it doesn't say what you ordered, send it back before opening. Everything gets way more complicated once its open and you have mattresses standing in hallways, garages, etc.2. I'll be honest, Amazon does not seem to have its act together about returns on these mattresses. Resort Sleep, like all the other mattress in a box companies have return policies. I have no problem with the 30 day return from Amazon for Resort Sleep. After all, this bed is half the price of the other option. But, I did open the box and I did have a king size problem. Amazon promptly refunded the full price and sent me a return label with instructions to put the mattress back in the box it came in and have UPS pick it up. I wrote to them twice and called twice, and talked with three people. That was 5 interactions. 4 of the customer service reps I dealt with had no idea what to do other than tell me to put it back in the box as best I could and ship it back.I reminded each one that we were talking about a king size mattress! I also said that Amazon was selling lots of these, all with generous returns guarantees. There had to be services that pick them up and donate them or something. Not one rep ever heard about or researched that service. Every rep but the last one kept telling me to fold it up and put it in a box, any box, and send it back. The final person I spoke to said by law Amazon could not accept back used mattresses and that I should keep it, throw it away or give it to someone else. I got that in writing in an email. I'm still expecting to hear from the automated system that I didn't return my product in time and they are reinstating my charge. I will try to post what finally happens but it won't be for another month. So, last night, I gave the king mattress to a friend. It took four people working hard to fold it in half and squeeze it into the back of his mini van. It took up every inch of space. Folded up, it filled the back of his van. There is no box big enough or strong enough to contain a king mattress once it expands! The moral of this story is, do your home work, join the revolution and stop buying expensive mattresses, just plan on loving the one you get and don't go through all the hassle of returning it.

Helped my back pain and leg pain!
As you can see by the photo, It is about 2 inches shorter than my platform. I ordered the 'short' because I measured it wrong (with all the covers on) so watch that.I am 5' 5" so it is fine for me. It takes at least two people to set the mattress up in your trailer if you are a woman who doesn't' body build. It is a great mattress, I have firm which I love. I work in a professional kitchen and deliver meals, so I have a lot of back aches and pains. It's perfect for a person who works, so it must be good for those who do not or are retired. Worth the mone!!
