Pflueger has been in the fishing business for quite a long time vs. other newer competitors. There's a reason for them being here such a long time. That's because, in my opinion, they know how to produce quality products at a reasonable price for the outdoorsman. I have three Trion reels and love every one of them. Theses reels are very smooth and cast very well. The quality, performance, and great looks earned this product a five star reviiew. Try using one, you'll be very surprized at how nice these reels are.

Bought this for grandson's birthday...it's exactly what he wanted!

I have several Pflueger Trion and President spinning reels and love them all. I wasn't looking for another Trion 30 spinning reel, but I saw the size 30 reel on sale for $19.99 plus tax. It's a steal at that price and sells for $50 at Walmart. Excellent aluminum spool that holds plenty of line. Smooth retrieve and excellent drag that is easy to adjust while battling a big fish. The anti-reverse is automatic, so there's no switch to turn it off. That's about the only negative I could think of for this reel, and it really isn't a negative. I just like having it so I can turn it off to position the reel the way I like it when casting. Otherwise, I always have it on and let the drag do its job when fighting a gar or pike that hits my line while I'm trying to catch crappie or another species. I can't think of a better reel for $20, which is why I bought it. Using it with my Daiwa Revros LT travel combo.

It’s my second Pflueger and it always feels nice and the quality seems to still be there through out these years. Easy to install just like usual and perfect size for all around use.

Love these reels and love Amazon prices. Can’t go wrong. I thought WRONG.BIG MISTAKE !I bought a bunch of Pflueger spinning reels for the 2024 fishing season thinking they would be better than cheap imported but not so, made in the same place , China. And the result is obvious if you look at the pic.The bail arm is made out plastic and after catching a few fish and casting a lot , they develop cuts on the plastic bail arm which catches the line and frays it while you reeling a fish resulting in losing the fish and ending with a bunch of useless line.Talked to Pflueger support and all I got was a “it does not happen a lot” answer and need to send in for repair at my cost plus a repair fee of $15. . No thanks, I can buy the arm on EBay for $7 but even better I bought an imported reel for less than the shipping and it works as good as the Pflueger or better..Pflueger is now made exactly the same as imported reels and cost 5 times more.Could not possible recommend, avoid at all cost. Tried to go US made but lost a lot of money doing so.
