If I could give a lower rating, I would. This was a birthday gift for my husband. The briefcase came in a plastic bag inside an Amazon bag, no shoulder strap, no metal bottom studs as stated in the product description, no tags or information about the briefcase whatsoever. The quality was not good and NOT worth the cost!

I use a lot of briefcases because my work generally keeps me remote and only attending meetings, lunches, etc. So my bag choice, depending on the day, mostly depends on what’s going on that day in my professional and work life.I have briefcases and backpacks from Tumi, a couple Boscas, Samsonite, Kenneth Cole Reaction, etc. I was specifically looking for something in brown that would serve as a catch-all for days where I may need a couple pens, wallet, small notepad, keys, daily carry type things, and at most an iPad Pro.This bag serves that purpose well, and it does it with good craftsmanship and what seems like a durable leather briefcase that will age well.This bag also does a good job of not creating too many small pockets for “organization” that become little hidey-holes. It has a couple soft interior lines pockets for a couple items - that’s all. Protect a phone, slide a notepad, a couple cards, and two pens. In contrast, it does have a dedicated inner mesh water bottle pocket - a very odd and modern touch in the midst of a seemingly traditional briefcase. I may cut mine out.What it DOES NOT DO WELL: is ship is good packaging. Mine arrived with what appeared to be shrink wrap around the entire thing, with no outer box, but shoved inside the Amazon fulfillment box and basically warping the bag upon arrival. Nothing that didn’t fix itself, but not a very good presentation from an expensive brand.It also DOES NOT have a well thought out location of its pen holder/utility compartment. This is sewn to one of the thin inner flaps and provides no rigidity to try to either put items in the holder, pen slots, etc, and provided no structure when carrying any of those items. It should be on the inner structure instead or firmer somehow.All in all - this does the job I wanted and does it in a way that can go with my suit in the boardroom or to the pool on a Saturday with the iPad if there are some backed up emails.
