I can't answer questions about flavor but it must be good, because I get a lot of finches now that I've switched to this food. I thought the birds would not have liked this as much as the sunflower seeds I was giving them but turns out I was wrong (happily). The real benefit for me is that squirrels love sunflower seeds but not the seeds in this formula so they no longer come around to get into the bird feeder and the mess under the feeder is minimal.

The birds love this seed. So much so I have to put out feed two to three times a day! Would prefer it being less expensive, but that goes without saying.
