coin book
I'm not sure this is a book for the serious collector, but I found every thing I wanted to know about some coins I inherited. The info is very descript as far as what to look for on your coins. I wanted to find out if the book could tell me what coins to have graded and what was going to be too worn to spend the money of grading on. It pointed me in the correct direction.

Gave me the ABCs help me get the coins I want at the price I want at a fair price.
New to coin collection, this book helped me to learn about learning how to buy coins I want and giving me a reference what to look for while collecting coins. A must-have for someone just starting out collecting!

Great Update
I had the 2003 Handbook of the US Coins and I want to sell my coin collections and wanted to know what they were worth. The book is detailed enough to help me price out my collections.

Price
Same books as others, but a better price. They are the originals. NOT reprinted. Service is great too

Good for Coin Collecting and just checking your change
The Blue Book has always been a good guide to see what coin shops will pay for your coins and is a good guide to check your change to see if there are any coin errors in your pocket which may be valuable.

Fun tradition
I love these coin books. My great grand dad had a bunch of these that he filled. It was so much fun going through them.I definitely want to keep this tradition going! Plus it’s fun filling them and hunting the coins.

Out dated prices for American Eagles and the price of silver
First, they are using silver prices of $18.00 an ounce. Silver hasn't been that low in a few years.Second, they give me mintage of each coin, Unc. price for each coin and a Proof price. The price per ounce of silver is about $27.00 on 2/10/21. They haven't been $18.00 an ounce for years. On average they say that I should be able to buy an Unc. for 21 to 25 dollars. That is not even close to what you'd have to spend. Proofs, even if you bought them ungraded, averaged $40.00. That's way off, especially from the early years. And if you want a graded coin there is NOTHING. Considering that the American Eagle collection has been the biggest selling collectable coin since 1986 I find this book close to useless. If I was looking for old coins I can find many different grades. The American Eagle only UNCIRCULATED BU's and Proofs. These books are suppose to give a collector a starting point when looking for coins. This tells me NOTHING.
