California Design Den 1000 Thread Count King Size Sheet Set, Winner Architectural Digest Best Sheet, Luxury 100% Cotton Sateen, Softer Than Egyptian Cotton (Light Grey)

Over the years, I have spent thousands of dollars on my search for the perfect sheet. I have purchased both cheap and expensive. I am a fan of 100% cotton and typically go for a nice percale. But, for the price, I gave these a go. I am so happy I did. I have purchased everything from Liz Claiborne sheets at JC Penny to Boll and Branch and everything in between. The quality of Liz Claiborne sheets went down majorly a few years ago. My Boll and Branch sheets, Brooklinen. and Parachute sheets ripped after only a few months each. Wamsutta used to have some great sheets. When I saw these on sale for $99, I decided to purchase. I know many people feel that is expensive but I do not at all. I get teased by my peers for spending "so much" on sheets. Listen, you should spend roughly 1/3 of your life in bed. I want that time to be great. I try to explain to people to put it in perspective. Most people I know spend more on wine, eating out, or whatever in a month. To me, it's worth it to go to bed in comfort vs a weekend of fun, but I guess I am getting old :)All that being said, these sheets are wonderful so far! I like them more than any other sheet I have tried in the last 20 years. I wanted to have them for a time before reviewing them. They are thick and I have been using them since I received them. I wash them weekly. Sometimes twice a week. They have softened up even more since purchasing. They fit on my bed nicely. I have a deep mattress. The top sheet is generous and I can tuck it in all the way around the bed. I liked them so much that I went back and purchased the duvet cover. They are cotton, so of course they will wrinkle. Anybody that is upset that 100% cotton sheets wrinkle, should just buy microfiber I guess, because that is going to happen no matter what with 100% cotton sheets. My better half also likes them a lot and he never brings up sheets because before me he just bought sandpaper sheets from Walmart. I feel the price is more than fair for the quality.If you have doubts, reach out to the company, and ask for a sample. They sent other sample sheets with my purchase, so maybe they can send you some. I understand that people look for so many different things when purchasing sheets and we all are looking for a great sheet. I am sure there are better sheets out there and I will keep looking, but when I get ready to purchase more, I will stick with this company and see what happens! Good luck to all!

I have spent a lot of money and time trying to find a good sateen high thread count sheet set that are quality, thick, cool, and held up well! And affordable!This is it! We run an AirBNB and want quality, good feeling sheets that don’t break the bank, and these are amazing! I’ve bought the 400, 600, and 1000 thread counts to try. The 400 are soft, silky and if take out of the drier and fold or put on right away, Have have good wrinkle control. I use the 400 on the AirBNB. For ourselves, I found I like the 600 just as much as the 1000 because the 1000 are thicker and a little bit hotter. Both are smooth and silky feeling with that little bit of coolness (hot flash must!). But the 1000 is just a little bit hotter although softer maybe? Definitely thicker. Probably the thickness and softness make it a little hotter. So great for winter but not summer.

So CDD has redeemed themselves some what. The responded again with a more coherent thoughtful response. I washed them again with vinegar and the spots did come out and after the 4th or 5th wash, the cases did get softer. That gave me a reason to get these to 4 stars. Still no matter what I tried aside from ironing, wrinkles are still an issue.I had high hopes for my new go to brand for pillowcases. CDD. I ordered 5 sets in ivory, 1 king pair and 4 queen/standard. All were 600TC. I was happy at first, with encouragement from CDD customer service as to the fact they need to be washed several times before they became crisp and soft. To me crisp means flat and smooth. So I upgraded and purchased their 800TC, which they said were thicker and softer and even more luxurious than their 600TC. So the pictures are after the first washing and tumble dry as per the instructions Not sure what the spots all over the cases are about. They were fully dried and promptly removed from the dryer and washed and dried alone, I just washed the 2 cases alone and dried alone with 3 100% wool dryer balls. The 800TC were thicker, I will give them that, but the sateen sheen was a bit much in person, plus the wrinkling was not good. There CS was nice in the beginning, but skirted around my questions about the spots and they told me they do not add additive to keep them from wrinkling. Do they expect you to iron your pillowcases? Well if that is what it takes, they should just state that. I would have been happy to take 10 minutes and iron them, if they added that to their instructions. But I specifically contacted them for advice and I followed it to the letter and this is the result. So I subtracted a star for wrinkling, subtracted a star for softness and subtracted a star for Customer Service as they would not address the spotting. Amazon on the other hand handled my inquiry superbly and was great about resolving the issue on setting the course for me to find a better set of pillowcases

I have tried many many brands of sheets and different thread counts. These by far are the best quality and comfort of all the others. And they only get softer with each wash. The labels at the head and foot on the fitted sheet are great so there is no guess work.I have an adjustable bed and the depth of the sheets stay on the bed even when I have it reclined. Every other sheet set brand I have tried this is not the case. They all fall off and I have to continually readjust them, which can be very frustrating. The shower cap design is by far the best also.Thank you California Design Den for making these awesome sheets that actually lasts for ever. The only reason I had to buy new sheet sets was because my house burned down and I lost everything inside it. I recently purchased a set that was saving me a few extra bucks and unfortunately I had to return them, so in my mind saving a few bucks was not worth the hassle and discomfort.

Poor quality, hanging threads, a grey stain, wavy stiches. Proclaimed 1000 thread count is a joke, can literally see through the bed sheet. I compared to my current sheets with 600 thread, and mine are thicker and the fabric is more even and smoother. I won't recommend this product. Overpriced poor quality crap made in India. Huge disappointment.
