Very impressive boxset music if the highest class

I waited so long for this...and finally it arrived. Magic. Not played it yet but I have heard The Wight Album and it doesn't disappoint.

Every aficionado of English psychedelia knows about July's debut - one of the great artefacts of the 60s - but it may be news even to those who find themselves humming 'Dandelion Seeds' on heavy rotation that there's so much more to this band to listen to and come to love. And there's something even more extraordinary about the fact that this completist's dream of a 'retrospective' finds room for an album (The Wight Album') only unleashed at the end of - you've guessed it - July 2020. The law of diminishing returns does not apply to this box set or to the band's career it so efficiently curates and, I guarantee, you'll be playing the discs that date from later in the enduring career of this wonderful band quite as much as the earlier material with which you may be more familiar. A very informative booklet completes a very desirable package and at one fell-swoop re-positions July in the history books.
