Great Book!
As an Alaskan Malamute lover, I truly enjoyed the photos.As a show person, I thought the chapter on grooming, etc. was goodfor someone getting started.

Most important book for a potential or current Mal owner
We bought this book shortly after it first came out and from that point forward we have purchased copies for anyone who has gotten one of our puppies. We feel strongly that along with our mentoring new owners, this book provides a resource for them to understand their dog. Bobbie Brooks has done an outstanding service to our breed with this book!

Interesting, but too theoretical
The book is well written and consist of a wealth of knowledge about the breed. Unfortunately it is to theoretical and not as practical as I hoped it would be. Also the pics are dull and in black and white and doesn't give the book an attractive feel to it. Also some chapters in the book are useless information unless u plan to write a thesis about the first dogs in the line. Overall some useful info. in this book but will not consider it to be the ultimate book to describe Alaskan malamutes

It's the Malamute Owner's Manual!
I wish a bought this book before I got my first Malamute. It's got everything about the breed. As a malamute owner, it's one of the best books I've ever bought. I would even bet it's the most comprehensive book ever written on ANY dog breed!

Poor to fair
The book is a copy of previous books by Riddle and Seeley. Not much effort as anybody could write this book.

The best book to understand the Alaskan Malamute
You will find all you need to know about this fantastic breed from grooming, showing, training, and of course the origin. I recommend it to everyone who loves mals like me!! (greetings from Malta Europe)

This is the new standard for Malamute books, well written, informative, with information that covers pet owners, historians, and serious breeders.

Great book for malamutes lovers
This book is very well written and illustrated, both in black and white and colours. The authors consider a wide range of subjects related to malamutes, paying attention to the story of the breed in a great survey, giving some useful pieces of advice to take care of your malamute, to groom him/her. The text is clear and fun, the authors do love malamute and you can feel it when reading the book. To me "The Alaskan Malamute - Yesterday and Today"is clearly a reference book to all malamute friends and fans.The text is in english but even a "beginner-reader" can feel pleasure discovering the pages and the wonderful pictures of the dogs.Please, re-edit this book !
