Fast shipping. Good price. Poor quality. But it works.
External cable is annoying factor. The access to card is blocked, but it is just where the card slot is. Nothing to do with grip design. Just get bigger capacity card.Feels good in hand, thanks for texture on grip.Battery door is constantly opens by it self, but because batteries are locked it is just erotating. Piece of duct tape will fix it. Now it looks truly professional with tape patch.LOL

A cable for a battery grip? Really?
ORIGINAL REVIEWOut of the box the vertical shutter release worked twice and then quit. I know this isn't a top-quality item and I didn't expect it would last for a decade, but I at least wanted to make it through a photo shoot with it.It holds batteries, thank goodness.UPDATEThe vendor contacted me within a day of this review going live and offered to work with me to resolve the issue. We talked about the problem and he indicated a cable was required from the battery grip to the camera for the vertical shutter release to function. I admit I didn't believe it. I have owned several Canon cameras and purchased non-manufacturer battery grips for all of them; not one has required an external cable. When I hand the camera and grip in hand, I looked for the output on the grip and sure enough, the darn thing requires a cable for the vertical shutter release. I'm torn. The battery grip is supposed to make life easier and provide a streamlined, efficient enhancement. Having extra stuff involved irks me. Do I use the grip with the cable or get a different grip? Decisions, decisions. In short, this battery grip works just fine if the external cable is acceptable to you. It fits on a T5 nicely and while it does feel like an inexpensive piece, quite frankly so does the T5 (at least coming from someone who shoots with a 1D). For the price it is appropriate. My only regret is that I understood the cable aspect before making the purchase because I probably would have opted for something else.

Already broken!
First day and the knob to tighten the grip to the camera broke. Now it's stuck on my camera! This stuck on my camera. I cant get to the SD card period. I want to put a wifi sd card in there but I can't to the card. I'm at a complete loss. Ugh!!!!!!!

there has to be a better way than this
The grip does not feel as part of the camera and it does not allow access to the SD card you have to take off the grip to get to the card.there has to be a better way than this
