KlusonRevolution F-Mount 19:1 Ratio Locking Tuners for Fender 6 In-Line Chrome

This particular model has the odd-ball "F mount" tuners and standard offerings don't fit. These tuners were a direct drop in with NO drilling or other mods required - although I did have to "tap in" the front-side bushings. Original screw holes all matched up perfectly and they keep the guitar in tune even when using drop-D tuning.

I installed these on a '79 strat that I bought new.Disappointed in the quality, considering the cost. They DO have an order of installation. The taller posts go near the low E string. No instructions on installation in the box. I put them on backward, then had to remove the strings to swap them around (yes, it's the first time I have installed new tuners).When they drilled the center hole (where the locking screw shaft goes thru), they left burrs in the hole the string goes thru in 5 of the tuners. I was able to trim them with an Exacto blade, but if you don't chamfer the hole, the lock pin will hang.The screw holes for mounting don't line up with originals. They're off about half the hole diameter. The screws went in, but I'm sure the holes are buggered a bit. These are supposed to be drop-in.Speaking of screws, the ones provided are too thin and just slide in and out of the original holes. Come on! Really? I had to reuse the originals.Would I buy them again? I'd have to, there's nothing else I could find that would drop in. Once installed, they work great. I've had them in for about two weeks now. They make string changes a snap and stay in tune well. I'm just really disappointed that a name brand like Kluson would put their name on this kind of quality and still charge as much as they do.
