Green cat grass
My cat is an indoor cat that I take out with a harness and leash. She likes to eat grass, but, in Vermont, we don't have any for half of the year. I only used a third of a package in my grass-making container, and it made enough for my cat for a couple of weeks. Then, I started a new batch for her. By following the directions for how to start the grass, we have fresh grass in a week. I help my cat by feeding her so she doesn't swallow too big a piece with each bite.

Good cat grass
Love growing these, it's fun. My cats ate some of them but stopped after a couple of times, although I don't think that's the product's fault; my cats are just picky eaters. They did enjoy smelling them, though.

It's cool
I really liked this product. I have purchased it before. The only reason I gave it a 3 is because it was only came with 1 pack of the stuff you plant the seeds in

Make sure you are getting what you expect.
Ordered both items on this page thinking it was a planter and a planter with a variety of seeds, that was not the case. The planter is wonderful. Comes with enough seeds for 2 plantings and planting medium to fill planter once. The seed set does not come with the planter and the listing now reflects that better. Review is for the listing not being clear at time of purchase not the quality of the item. Not a good value for the seed set. The planter is more money than many of the cat grass planters but worth every penny. Great value.

INSTRUCTIONS
I've read so many reviews talking about how this product has no instructions and I had difficulty finding out anything online. So here is the result of my findings and it has worked like a charm for several batches.I'd recommend using half a pack of seeds and fertilizer as it makes so much grass you won't notice it's only a half batch and you'll save money and be more likely to keep your cat happy with this grass full time instead of as a treat.1. Empty seeds into the base of the grower. Fill with cool water and be sure the seeds are submerged. Leave them uncovered and soaking for 24 hours.2. Drain and remove dust/particles. Place a damp paper towel in the bottom of the planter they were just soaking in. Pour in seeds and spread them out. Place another damp paper towel over them to cover all seeds. Use a spray bottle or just quickly run them under the tap to keep both paper towels moist for 2 days. I found that wetting them in about 8 hour increments kept them happy and growing. By the end of this process all or most of the seeds should have shoots coming out.3. Remove seeds and set them aside. Place fertilizer in the base and spread evenly. Place the seeds on top and DO NOT mix them into the soil. Place the green top on. Don't wait until the grass is grown to do this step as you'll never get the top on without crushing half the grass. I promise you they'll get enough light and they truly don't need much.4. Place in the window, on a table, etc. so they'll get at least a few hours of sunlight. You don't need to move it around just as long as they get a good blast of the rising or setting sun. After about 3-4 days you should have grass a few inches high. At this point you can introduce it to your cat. You can do it earlier but if you give the grass time to really grow its roots will be firm and the cat can have much more fun and won't ruin it or stifle growth. My cat loves this grass so much she often lays on top of the whole mound and naps or rolls on it. Yet it doesn't die and continues to grow. Don't worry about taking a week to prepare this grass as it will last 2-3 more weeks if you follow these steps! Enjoy : )3.
