Beautiful upon arrival! Packaged very well and was a healthy, blooming bush. It has held up through an unexpected snow that did not melt for 3 days! So, to say it is frost proof is an understatement. Bloomed again in spring and got through a couple more frosts this winter. Still growing strong! ( Did I mention this is a potted patio plant?) Excellent buy.

I’ve got 3 degrees in horticulture to the PhD level but I’ve struggled to make gardenias thrive. 6 of 6 of these were growing very well and showed no signs of disease even a month after planting in mid summer in North FL, were totally healthy and large but not overly pot-bound. So I bought 6 more. 12 of similar size I got from two different nearby nurseries and planted in the spring ALL died despite considerable effort in planting and care. They were bought to replace them. Drought and/or soil fungus may have been an issue(s) with those so I removed some of the existing soil, put all of these on drip irrigation and sprayed with Infuse, a systemic anti-fungal, as a preventative measure. They look so good that I expect they will all thrive despite being planting during July/August. The relatively smaller flowers smell awesome—just like normal gardenias. Don’t go too heavy on nitrogen-rich fertilizers and you should have at least some blooms most of the year. I recommend these unreservedly. Gardenias can be finicky once they get stressed from too little or too much water. So I will buy them from this source in the future rather than take my chances with disease etc from the local nurseries. I would not have expected this to be the case. That’s all the more reason to recommend this source. Some of the recent ones arrived in repaired beat-up boxes. But no plants were damaged.

Gardenias arrived quickly, were boxed well and in very good health in March before it gets hot. They were larger and in great shape. Planted right away, watered in and forgot about them. They are performing really well in the ground!

NOT frost proof, died after one night down to 23deg. USDA Hardiness zone 7 is 0 - 5degs. It is more like zone 9.Out in days temperatures between 36 - 51 deg over 12 days (ave 44) with same nights of down to 28 - 41 deg (avg 34) . Don't believe the "frost proof, Hardiness 7" that I paid extra for. Just standard hardiness of 9b.

I understood it was good for heavy frosts but is only rated to zone 8. I am 6b. I will try to plant it in a sheltered area next to the house, but I don't hold out much hope for it. Beautiful plant and the blossom smells heavenly! Very healthy. The only reason for the 3 stars is because not good for my zone. I am really sad about that.

Not only was the plant a beautiful, full healthy plant, it was delivered 4 days earlier than expected and arrived on my daughter's birthday! She was so happy with how healthy the plant was and just a few days later 2 buds opened up with a wonderful smell!!! So very happy this gift turned out so nice!

I ordered 3 of these gardenia bushes and each one arrived healthy, moist, and full of green leaves like I'd purchased it from my local, high-end nursery. I'm honestly shocked at how nice they are, so much I wanted to leave a review with a photo. Great bang for my buck. I'm very happy with my purchase.
