Lola and Duncan
Duncan still can't believe he's in Bar Harbor taking a class on maps that his secretary gave him as a birthday present. Then he meets his teacher for the day and not only is she smart, she's beautiful. For the rest of the day he can't seem to take his eyes off her and it seems she has the same problem. Only he didn't come to find a girlfriend, plus he has a lot of baggage. Lola seems to be of like mind. She has no intention of making the same mistake as she has in the past. So when he asks her for advice after the class is over, she's extremely cautious. What happens next? What about his past and his brother have to do with him now? Will he be able to overcome the past? What about Lola? Will she also be able to overcome her past and learn to trust her heart? Will her family get into what comes next? Only one way to find out, read this great story by Bella Andre! You will love how things end.

A great addition to the series!
When You Kiss Me was the third book in the Maine Sullivan series by Bella Andre. It was also book twenty one in the long line of Sullivan series. And although part of a series, it can be read as a stand-alone.Lola Sullivan was drop dead gorgeous. She had always been beautiful and most had only seen her beauty but were unable to get past that for her intelligence and loving heart. She had given up on men when she crossed paths with Duncan.Duncan Lyman was the founder of an investment firm. He had committed his life for the past five years to helping start ups become successful. His assistant felt he worked too hard and gifted him a class in map drawing, a hobby which he was never able to devote much time. Enter Lola, the instructor who was most beautiful and brightest person he had ever met.The storyline was told with a double POV. And true to Andre’s form, it was well written, well developed and full of depth and dimension. The plot was the strong foundation with a few surprises that needed to be navigated through. Andre also included a wide range of Sullivan cousins. It was a treat for the long time Andre fans and the perfect introduction for those that haven’t yet read the full series. The storyline was fairly predictable but was still intriguing, entertaining and satisfying. I can’t wait for more Maine Sullivan’s!

Unbelievable Even For a Romance Novel
I like Bella Andre. I've enjoyed all of the Sullivan series, but this one isn't up to the standard she usually delivers. I'm almost halfway done with this one and I'm struggling with it. I know it's a romance novel, but it's a huge stretch to believe that a successful, independent, business owner like Lola would fall head over heels for a man within 8 hours of meeting him. Or that the man, Duncan, a business owner in his own right, decides after those 8 hours to put his company in Boston in the hands of a newly hired employee so he can move to Bar Harbor to live "at least the next 50 years" with Lola. And to make that even better, within the next few chapters, Lola finds out the secret Duncan has and pushes him away. Then begins the story of him fighting to prove he is worthy of her.The dialogue in parts sounds like something a pre-teen would write fantasizing about her first crush. There's a lot of mention of how Lola is so misjudged because she's so beautiful and men don't see her having a brain and Duncan's evil older brother that will destroy anyone who says anything bad about him. It's just not the typical Bella Andre book and that's disappointing. I'm hoping the next one goes back to what I've enjoyed in the past.

Another great book!
I've been reading all of the Sullivan stories. Love the whole family, no matterwhere they live. It's amazing how they will come running when one of their own needs some help. That's what all families should do. I felt so bad for Duncan, when his older brother turned on him the way he did. If it weren't for Lola and her family, things could have gone so wrong, but thankfully that didn't happenCan't wait to read more. There's a whole lot of new beginnings in this family, and I don't want to miss one second of it! ;)

Slow burn......
Received an ARC and voluntarily reviewing.......3.5 stars.....The romance is a bit of a slow burn. I kind of understand why it had to be that way (the heroine's backstory calls for it), but it got frustrating after a while. I say a bit because it starts off pretty quickly and then runs into the conflict and grinds to a screeching halt. The conflict I found interesting because I honestly had no idea how it would be resolved. I found myself reading several chapters in one sitting because I was curious about how it would be sorted out, but as I'm not a fan of slow burn, I grew a little impatient with the romance. However, I did enjoy reading about Lola and Duncan's first meeting and first date. I found Duncan's interest in cartography fascinating because I've never seen that as a character occupation before. (Even though it's more of a hobby for him) I'm also very curious about the next book in the series. Maybe I'll connect more to that one.

Finding Forever
Duncan has tried all his life to make his brother proud, or clean up after his deception. Lola spent a early part of her life trying to hid her lovely figure, until the women in her life taught her how to love what she has! The downside to having sexy curves is fending off men only trying to get her into bed. That is until Duncan shows up in one of her drawing classes. He’s intriguing and seems to be into her and not what she can do in bed. He has ghosts that could ruin everything he is quickly building with Lola, can he tell her himself before it’s too late? This story was great, watching these two fall in love was beautiful, watching them fall apart was torture! This book was sexy, sweet, a little angsty and all around amazing! Check out this series today!

Another brilliant read
Another brilliant read from Bella. Lola and Duncan were not the type I’d think was right for Lola but he definitely was although it’s not plain sailing there’s lies and embezzlement’s to get straight first but of course it does but what a journey they both take to get to there forever.
