Early Paranormale Years

I was surprised that no one had reviewed this product, and before purchasing it myself, I had a hard time finding clear information on what this set included. In this set, you get Gogol Bordello's first two albums, Voi-La and Multi Kontra Culti Vs. Irony, and the EP East Infection. Thus, you're getting a total of three discs. If you're buying this from a 3rd party seller, who has it for half the price of Amazon, that is a pretty good deal. Plus, this is the best stuff out there by Gogol Bordello (of course, this is my humble opinion). The early Gogol Bordello albums keep all of the frantic energy and hectic excitement. It's a little less punk though. Let me clarify: I love punk, and I really dig what Gogol Bordello does. I really enjoy when their world music influences shine through though, and in the early albums, there world music influences take center stage over their punk sound. It's a crazy, yet beautiful, melding of their two sounds/ influences. It's a balance they have seemed to abandoned on their last few albums for a more punk heavy sound. Bottom line: this is a great collection at a good price. If you like Gogol Bordello, you'll like this collection. If you like energetic punk, world music, or just musical innovation, than this is a collection for you.
