Holy moly what a fantastic vest
Thought out and intelligent design. When I opened the package the weight took me off guard. When I tried it on, complete balance of the weight on my person. All the pockets, shell holders and even down to the large fasteners made this product and instant favorite. I can wait to try it in the field! High quality fabric and stitching, quiet materials. Made by hunters for hunters. Kudos to the company and your great product!

Definitely a Great Purchase
A blaze orange vest is required in most of the places that I plan to hunt, so I wanted something that would be extremely useful as well as provide a measure of safety. I did a great deal of research, and finally settled on this vest. Some of the reviews commented on loose stitching and other problems, but (with the exception of a small length of thread hanging off one of the buttons) everything looked great on mine. Other reviews seem accurate about the sizing—the vest runs large. I'm 5'7" and 190 lbs, and the vest will definitely fit over layers in cold weather (it will be loose if all I'm wearing is a sweatshirt or single jacket). There are no fewer than 16 pockets built into this thing (11 exterior, 6 interior), and I really appreciated the "guide" that shows you what you could/should put in each one. There is even a pocket for a thermal blanket or some kind of seating material inside the vest, and a large roomy pocket (think built-in backpack, but don't try to stuff this thing something heavy). Depending on the kind of trip I'm taking, I may not need a daypack.

My Son Loves Me!!
New to hunting my son's uncles advised him to get an orange hunter's vest with pockets. Wow! Did this vest deliver. Not only is it well made with reinforced stitching and thick material, it also sports pockets all over the vest to include a small back-packish type pocket in the back. My son intends to put his lunch in that pocket. To my delight the vest also included a small attached key light. Very, very happy with this purchase.

Good Vest. It'll Carry What's Needed for an All Day Hunt
First, the vest IS true to size. Because the other reviews said it tended to be VERY large I called Primos. They said it is designed to fit over large, bulky coats but I should order the size I ordinarily wear. I should have listened to them. I don't usually wear bulky coats while hunting and so, swayed by the reviews, I bought a medium. (5'10", 180 lbs. I usually wear a large.) Medium could have worked but fit a little smaller than I like. Exchanged w/ Amazon for a large. Fits great. While we're talking about size, lay it flat and the top of the shoulder to the bottom measures 25". Side seam to side seam, across the top of the two large front pockets measures 27". The large pockets measure 8" x 8" with a 2" bottom bellows. The two top pockets measure 7" x 4" with a 1 3/4" bottom bellow. The right pocket is partitioned into two smaller pockets. The pullout seat flap measures 16 1/2" wide and 15" long. I could easily use this for an all day hunt and carry everything I need. It comes with recommendations on how to load/pack it. Those are good except I found the recommended location for a two-way radio awkward and uncomfortable. Regardless, there are enough pockets to put everything most people would need to go out all day. The downside: Water bottle pockets are deep and narrow, too narrow for the 32oz Nalgene bottles I prefer. (Found the Klean Kantene 20oz and 27oz bottles fit fine.) It would be good to have a zip front closure instead of buttons. The pocket zippers on the first vest I received did separate in the middle when zipped closed, but opening and then closing the zipper seemed to fix that. Have not had that problem with vest I have now. The finishing stitching for the button holes could be beefier. As other reviewers have mentioned when you fill the back compartment it's not comfortable lean back against a tree, fence, etc. That's kind of a no-brainer. I may cut off the seat flap as I'm a little ambivalent about it. Overall, great vest. Not perfect, but better than just good enough. Recommended if you're looking for something like this.

Decent for stand hunting.
Pros: Many pocketsComfortableVery warmSeems well madeCons:HEAVY. This seems more aimed at the “walk 100 yards to the deer stand “ style of hunting as opposed to Rocky-mountain-hike-a-million-miles type of hunting. No disrespect to midwestern deer stand hunters, but this was a lot heavier than I anticipated.WARM- I guess this isn’t necessarily a con, but I’d say this is cold-weather or low-exertion only. I’d never wear this on a September hunt. It worked fine during 3rd rifle when it was 4 degrees out, but I’d sweat to death in the early fall.

Great Vest
Well made of heavy material that will last! Has more than enough in the way of storage compartments/pockets. After receiving mine I tried it for fit and function by taking all my stuff from my day pack and fitting into the vest(binoculars, range finder , flashlight, gurnt call, etc). All fit. Can eliminate the day pack! Since it's "off season" haven't had a true field trial but looks like there will be no problem. Washed it in "scent eliminating detergent", sprayed with UV killer and scent eliminator and packed it away till opening day.

Great vest
Sizes run WAY big, the plus side is that there's plenty of room under it for multiple layers of clothing, but if you're not planning on wearing a heavy coat under it I would suggest you order at least a size smaller than normal. The pockets are easy to access, well organized, and have plenty of room for all the stuff you need quick access to such as maps, flashlight, phone, snacks, calls and extra ammo.

A Multi-role Hunting Vest that is good and can be made even better.
IMPORTANT: Buy the size you wear for hunting. In colder climates this vest will easily fit over your hunting jacket plus additional layers.I wear a Large sized jacket and bought the Large size vest. Perfect fit. It's a great looking vest with quiet fabric and lots of pockets.PRO:Pockets galore. Outside and inside.Very quiet fabric.Good Blaze Orange.Warm pockets for hands.CON:Holder for rifle rounds is open ended and your rounds will fall through into the pocket. My wife sewed the bottom and it works perfect now.Button holes have lots of loose threads but appear fully functional.Pull down seat pad looks like it might be sweaty. Velcro tabs snag on the web liner thus tearing it up. I removed it Completely.

Amazing vest. Exactly what I was looking for.
I really like this vest. I had a very hard time finding one either online or through Amazon that wasn’t a typical big flappy pocket or low quality material. I was interested in a couple but this one was the only one that could ship before hunting season. The main things I was looking for was a mesh interior for breathability and good pockets and storage with good fasteners. This one delivered. A couple of the pockets have Velcro but there are a couple with zippers and a couple with buttons. This vest has a fold out but flap to sit on to keep it dry.It has a pocket for a radio and gps.It has a red led blinker for SOS or location at night. It has a compass and thermometer, which are probably cheap but a nice little addition none the less. There are additional pockets on the back, a couple with open tops for maybe a water bottle or something. The fabric and material seem durable. I sprayed mine with water repellant spray. The picture from the seller does not do this vest justice.

OK
The Orange is a little off i think from normal blaze orange, but probably close enough. sizing is a little strange, its bit short, not a big deal just thought it would be longer.

Vest is only for fat, short people.
This vest is very short! The bottom of the vest ends at your rib cage - not your waist. The vest sits on your shoulders and flares out at the front and the back like a triangle. If you are fat and short, it may be ok but the cut - fit of this vest is absolutely terrible for others ...
