Urban Designs Imported Solid Wood Night Stand Table-Antiqued White

Made in China. Just thought I'd get that out front right away. :( Great idea, not so good in implementation. WAY over priced. No, let me rephrase that. INSANELY over priced. These shouldn't sell for more than $30-40 each.I purchased two of these and two things stood out:The paint isn't 'Antiqued' and it isn't 'White'. Or 'Antiqued White'. The paint has a yellow tinge to it. There's no distressing at all. Not that I expected it - I understand the difference between distressed and 'Antique White' paint. I also know what 'Antique White' looks like and this isn't it. So, however you read this, its not correct. The paint job itself is poor. One thin coat - which probably explains the yellow tint.There is no 'multi step process' and there is no 'weathered look'. I have family in furniture and cabinetry - I know what I'm looking at. This was spray painted with one coat of a poor quality paint.ALL four legs on BOTH tables are off by as much as 1/4". Maybe just a tad more. Its a good thing these were going on thick carpet because they wobbled so much on my hardwood floors they would have been unusable. Am I surprised? No. Apparently the aliens haven't taught anyone in China how to use a ruler yet.(Relatively) minor things:One of the pulls was completely off the drawer and only because of the way I opened the package did I avoid loosing the screw. Seriously? Either attach them or stick them in a bag for me to attach.Some of the wood was split where they used brads to assemble things. This won't be a problem for me because once these serve their purpose, they're out the door. But, it speaks yet again to the 'high quality' of Chinese produced products.In truth, these aren't even up to crappy Wal-Mart standards of quality. I'm honestly embarrassed to have them in my home. Unfortunately, I needed something for my guest bedroom on short notice and these were the best I could come up with and I'm not comfortable using something and then trying to send it back so after the new year these will go in the dumpster or maybe Goodwill. There MIGHT be someone out there this desperate for a couple end tables. I doubt it.

For the price, the piece is fine. The wood is solid – Not particle material. But the wood is a softer one….Maybe pine? So be careful with over tightening as you assemble or the wood will split (mine did).The seller sent me one of the antique white and one dark wood. I ordered two antique white. So I had to go through the hassle of reshipping, etc. but it was replaced with the correct color quickly. Back to the “antique” white. Yeah – Not so much. It is white but does not really have an aged or distressed look to it like it does in the pictures.Assembly is easy but I would recommend rotating the bottom shelf piece until you have the best alignment of legs to screw holes possible. Meaning, if the holes don’t seem to align – Do not try to force the legs in. Rotate it and try again.

I ordered two of these and they arrived so well packaged and in perfect condition. They are beautiful and such great quality. I appreciate the care that went into these, and the care that went into the shipping of them. I ordered the dark brown, and I could not be happier.

These are cute though I think very overpriced for the quality. Not completely sturdy though on thick carpet should be fine.

It was what I expected.

Well made and lived up to my exceptions. If you are looking for this color and size you won't be disappointed .
