Eh
I'm using this to get the remnants of water leftover from draining my hot tub. Too much for one load with the wet vac so thought this would make it easier. This unit is very lightweight so doesn't stand up securely in the bottom of the hot tub. Suction power is mediocre at best. I actually had to prime it...meaning sucking on the end of the tube to get the thing draining...yeah. Lol However, once the draining began it did do an adequate job of getting most of the remaining water...at least below the maximum of my wet vac capacity. So...eh...for what I'm using it for, don't recommend. May be better if it's being used where the suction cups at the bottom of the unit can stick securely. Also, has to get an extension hose...the one that comes with the unit isn't long enough for much.

Great product that solved our problem.
Really good bang for your buck. We have a 14 foot aluminum boat that fills up during storms. This little beauty helped us get the water out while we were using a bucket on the other side. Saved us lots of time out in the rain and the great thing is you don’t need to hook it up to your boat battery and risk killing the battery. Doesn’t get tons of water out at one time but rather a consistent stream. No brainer to buy this.

Decent kayak pump
Bought this for use in my kayak when running down the river. A lot easier to use this verses using a hand bilge pump. I took off the suction cup mount as it raises up the suction intake and this lowers the pump so that I can get closer to pumping the yak dry. It's not the fastest pump but does the job. I have used this about a half dozen time this season (2017) on the same set of batteries. BTW it takes 3 D cells. While the switch can be a little tricky to flip because of the rubber waterproof cover, its not that bad. Overall it's a decent pump and pretty much the only one out there for kayaks.

Great little bilge for the money
I use this to drain my jon boat, which catches rainwater. Pulling the electric pump out to it's location is a pain. With this little guy I fill it with D batteries, hook it up, and it does the rest. It pumps at a rate equivalent to your sink faucet at about 1/2 open. I'm guessing my jon boat has about 250 to 300 gallons of water in it when it's filled with rainwater. It takes the pump 1-1.25 hours roughly to pump it all out. Next step is to pair this with rechargeable D batteries and this is the perfect portable bilge for a very small cost.

On/Off Switch
Could be a great product as it is well designed. However, the switch is of low quality. My unit would not turn off. I did not test the unit with water. I returned it since it was defective. To bad they did not spend 25 cents more for a quality switch; then it would have been a 5 star product.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. TOTAL GARBAGE!
The media could not be loaded. Absolute garbage. Our neighbors water heater is leaking and they’re not home and won’t let us call a plumber so we put a large plastic box to catch the water until they’re back. We got this to move the water from the large heavy box to a bucket to dump it so it doesn’t splash everywhere trying to move a 40 quart long box.We had a hand bilge but it’s so cumbersome so we got this … see the video it’s completely submerged in several inches of water and you can hear the motor and see little ripples but not a single drop of water is being sucked up into the unit to go into the bucket. We tried two sets of brand new batteries so it’s purely garbage. The tiny bit of water in the bucket is from yesterday when we transferred water … after ten minutes we gave up and used a hand bilge instead.NO SUCTION!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. TOTAL GARBAGE!

Pretty good!
I didn’t have very high expectations of this pump Because it is battery powered but it really does work rather well

Product okay but service excellent
Bought one in 2020, worked fine for the season but would not work first try 2021. Bought a new one, doesn't make good contact with batteries and will not function. Wanted to return but am being told return window closed 4 days ago, less than a month from order date.Update to the above - Cameco reached out to me to confirm its 1 year warranty. Amazon was also great about sending me a replacement. After a couple tries have now received a good working version again! Customer service = excellent; product is functional, you get what you pay for.

Great but not great.
The product works, but is cheaply made. The clip that attach to the boat, and the clips around the filter broke too easily and I had to glue it back together. The filter gets clogged easily by debris and invertebrates in the water.

Would not recommend for a boat.
Very weak flow. A cut javex bottle would eliminate water quicker.

Leaves too much water behind
The pump is sturdy and withstands the normal bumps and bangs. However, it leaves a good 1/2 inch of water behind which you have to mop up.
