Mostly good fit.
It hurts to wear for more than a few hours, the screws tended to tighten or loosen on their own, and it bit into the back of the skull. However, if you only needed to wear this for short periods of time then it would be a decent choice. As a full time welder I'll have a hood on for about 90% of my day.

Fits better than the one on the helmet
My dog has done it again! I love this dog, but he sure tries my patience every so often. He chewed up my motorcycle helmet some time ago, and now he's just got done with the headgear for my welder's helmet. Funny enough, except for a tooth mark in a few places, he only damaged the headgear. So, this helmet is from Harbor Freight... Not expensive, but it does the job (especially considering the price). As with most Harbor Freight products, spare parts are not readily available. But I really didn't want to buy a new one considering all I needed was the headgear. After reviewing a few, I decided on this one for both the price and existing reviews. I received it a few days later and installed it on the helmet. It doesn't fit perfectly for obvious reasons, but very nearly so, and it fits my head better than the original headgear. I also like that it was part of Amazon Prime as well.I should note that the Harbor Freight sweat band has actually has a little more padding. The dog didn't chew that one either so I just swapped them. This is really a preference and does not change the number of stars on this review. So over the past year, Max has damaged quite a few things, but this turned out to be one of the cheapest, and I ended up with a better product in the end.

Better than the original helmet headgear.
About 1/3 the money of a lincoln viking, but is definitely 1/3 of the quality.

Plastic bolt fasteners not my fav.
It fits super well. And it has a nice system when fitting it to your head. The only down side is with the plastic bolts that attach the head gear to the helmet. If you try and tighten it too much it busts. So now I have to either find replacement bolts or get a whole new head gear piece

every thing is good but.......
pulled out the box and a knob was missing! luckily I had some old headgear laying around that I could use for donor parts that just happened to fit. seems like its comfortable and for the most part I like it.. good price and received on time.

Worthless!
This is the fourth ArcOne headgear I’ve bought in the two years I’ve owned their $263 helmet.I’m a hobbyist, so my welding gear doesn’t get used every day; it sometimes goes months sitting waiting for the next project. When the third one broke and I went back to the welding supply store I discovered that they no longer carry this manufacturer’s product for this specific reason. The headgear simply doesn’t last. The one I received from Amazon broke as I was installing it on the helmet! I contacted ArcOne over a week ago and they still haven’t responded, so I’ve junked the helmet and replaced it with a different brand.

much better than the headgear it replaced
This is a well-constructed headgear for my welding helmet. Much higherquality and sturdier than the headgear it replaced. It was not a "bolt-in"conversion. I had to enlarge the holes in my helmet to accommodatethe new headgear.
