Q: Is the fan supposed to run all the time even at first start when the unit is cold and no load connected ?

With my unit the fan runs briefly when first turned on & then only when cooling is required. When delivering higher power rates the fan cuts in & out as required.

Q: I can’t get it to supply 10a at 3.65v. It will only output 2.7a at that voltage. Will take me days to charge these lifepo4 cells?

Mine, supposedly a 0-30V 0-10A version, will deliver 10A at up to 2.8V, but not higher, and certainly not up to 3.65V. Anyway, at 10A everything gets dangerously hot - you'll need decent leads and plugs etc (at least!), not just the ones supplied, if you run it at 10A for long.

Q: Can you set the current limit with the DC output disabled, or do you have to short the output to set it?

You can dial in the voltage and current before connecting (or shorting) the output. There is also a switch to disable the output, so you can select the voltage and current an then enable the dc leads.

Q: Can Constant Current be achieved with this unit?

Yes Voltage and Current can be limited
