Hard to Read the Recipes
This is just my opinion and in no way reflects on the recipes themselves. The recipes look wonderful and the book itself has gorgeous color photographs and a nice heavy weight to the pages. I am definitely going to try some of the recipes. But, I will need another set of eyes (maybe a magnifying glass) to help read the print. It's a very light color and I find it hard to read. I've had cataract surgery on both eyes, so I don't think it's me. Even with my computer glasses, I find it hard to see the required amounts. Even the titles are hard for me to read! If I could afford it, I would buy the kindle version as then I could increase the font size and color.

Best go-to cookbook and gift
There are two things that make this cookbook worthy of a five-star rating, IMHO. One: Every recipe is accessible / doable, no matter your level of "foodiness." You won't need to go find an Asian or European or gourmet grocery, to find an obscure ingredient -- each recipe is accessible. And, they're doable for any lifestyle: If you work all day and get home thinking, oh RIGHT, I still have to make dinner for people -- this cookbook is great that way.Two is that A Well Seasoned Kitchen makes a great gift, just because of what it is: A labor of love between a mother and a daughter, to share their family's recipes and traditions. I bought several as client Christmas gifts -- huge hit. Scattered throughout are family photos with "well seasoned memory" captions. It's a cookbook with lots of heart. If there is a third reason why this cookbook gets my 5 stars, it'd have to be the White Bean & Chicken Chili (p61.) Or the Avacodo & Grapefruit Salad (p 66.) Or the Enchilada Pie (and the story of how it came to be, p. 137.) Or the Kentucky Corn Pudding, mmm, p. 198. Or the Palisade Peach Pie (p224)...Whether you love to cook, cook to love, or just need to get some good food on the table easily and quickly -- this cookbook will end up open on the counter the most. Bon appetite!

A Most Amazing Cookbook; A Most Compelling Story
As someone who loves entertaining, I was overjoyed to find this treasure of a cookbook! The author weaves wonderful little stories throughout the book describing how she and her mother (who has since passed away) explored the finer arts of cooking for gatherings of friends and family. Much of what they learned together during those years has found its way into this volume and those of us who like to entertain are the richer for it. This is a beautifully crafted book with gorgeous photography printed on excellent paper stock. There are over 300 pages filled with recipes that are easy to prepare and sure to please. I would highly recommend it.

Fun cookbook for everyday recipes
I bought this cookbook after attending a cooking class at EVOO and love it. The story behind it is nice and it is well suited for entertaining ideas also. No gluten free stuff here!

A cookbook to share with your friends and family!
I received "A Well Seasoned Kitchen" as a Christmas gift! I spent the entire afternoon of Christmas Day reading each recipe. So many brought back childhood memories. This is truly one of the best cookbooks I have received in a long time. I have sent copies to close friends and some newlyweds too. I would suggest this cookbook to anyone who appreciates the details of a recipe and enjoys excellent cuisine.
