As always Debbie Shore does not disappoint with this book. Many projects and each one has writing and photographs so you don't get lost. Would be happy to buy again as a gift for a sewing friend

Brilliant book nice things to do

So pleased when I got my Half Yard Summer Collection Book today. Loved the front cover.Contents page is laid our nicely,lots of projects to do and are all in there sections so at a quick glance you can find what you are looking for. The projects  have all got pics and you are shown step by step on how to make them.What I like about the tips is that Debbie has also thought about the beginner and are very informative. With so many new cottons,waddings,interfacing and materials out there it is so good to have a professional tell or show you what to get instead of wasting your money buying the wrong thing.I have just made the Reading Pillow for my granddaughter to see how hard it was to make and because I had all the material and bits for it and I found it easy to do with the help of the step by step and pics, and the tips came in handy as it showed me what to do if you didn't have silicon elastic. I was very pleased with the end product.All in all I loved this book and it is great for all levels!

I was fortunate to get an early review copy as a member of the Half Yard Sewing Club. As usual Debbie Shore doesn't disappoint. With this collection of previous makes and some new additions, this books is worth its space on the shelf. Debbie's easy explained instructions and beautifully photographed pictures assist the sewer every step of the way.If you join her Half Yard Sewing club, she is always on hand to assist with any explanations. A lovely lady, with a great enthusiasm for encouraging even the most novice sewer.

This is a beautifully presented book. The photographs are plentiful and show each stage of the construction process. At the beginning there is a "before you start" section which has useful tips and techniques to make your sewing look more professional. I made the water bottle holder which is one of the five new projects for this book, which is a compilation of projects from previous books. It sewed together very well. I used this project with one of my sewing students who managed to complete it very successfully in one and a half hours. Every item in the book can be made from small amounts of fabric so they are great stash busters. They will also make nice gifts. I know I will turn to this book many times to make useful items and gifts.

I have a lot of Debbie Shore books and they all are amazing. The ideas are great, as well as the instruction very, very easy to follow and what ever you make looks totally professional. The summer collection is a must for great gift ideas all year round.
