Thrilling read with twists and turns that had me hooked the entire time
Lover Unveiled was so exciting and entertaining to read. I loved the characters, details, and phenomenal build. I felt like this story was a game changer and I can't wait to find out what comes next in the series.I loved learning Sahvage’s history and how all those details developed and the timing of them, keeping me guessing. I loved Mae’s determination, as misguided as it was at times. I love how she didn't stand down from Sahvage and how she could be a bit challenging. He was this tough male but also flirty and charming in his own way and I loved the chemistry between them as well as the animosity and tension. Mae and Sahvage had an awesome slow burn happening in the midst of the chaos and I loved that growing attraction and how they were there for each other.I loved learning about Balthazar and his code as a thief, I found him engaging and likable. I felt for him and his fight to do the right thing. I was thrilled to get more Rehvenge and I loved him being brought to the forefront. I loved sweet Nate, he's been through so much and I'm excited for what's to come with him. I was ecstatic to get more Lassiter, he is one of my favorite characters. There’s a major hint for him at the end of the book and I am beyond excited for him to get his own story at some point! I loved the Brotherhood and the humor they bring and the bonds they have. I loved them reconnecting with Sahvage and was thrilled to get some details about the coffins that have been referenced before in the series. I really liked the new characters that were introduced and feel like a lot of future storylines were set up. Devina is the bad guy I love to hate and I loved the evil and chaos she brought. She ruthless and makes an excellent rival. This series is so addicting and I'm definitely looking forward to more. There was so much happening in this book with the different stories and POVs and I couldn't wait to find out who I would hear from next. I loved the drama, action, emotion, heartache, and healing. It was intense, thrilling, and captivating. There were so many amazing details with twists and turns that had me hooked all the way through, all the dots connecting was thrilling! I pretty much ignored everyone and inhaled this. Another fantastic read in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series!

Slowly Getting Back To How Things Were
I believe this is book 19 in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series and I felt that the relationship between Sahvage and Mae was made more of a focus than in previous additions to the BDB universe. The books of the core characters that are at the foundation of the series (Wrath, Vishous, Butch, Zsadist, Phury, Rhage, Tohrment) really focused on their character development and the romance with their chosen mates. Ward built a world full of males that are all Alphas and about love that would last not just your lifetime but centuries. Add to that her brand of urban slang mixed with her very detailed descriptions of affluent settings and you got a book universe that neither felt nor sounded like any other. The reason anyone reads romance is for the fantasy relationship. In my opinion, most of the recent books in the BDB universe have focused more on the "world building" aspect of the BDB universe and less about the character building and romance between the main protagonists. Obviously when you have a series that is this broad in scale you need to put more forethought onto the page about how these characters fit in the greater universe of the BDB and of how the story will flow into the next offering in the series. However, for the last several books (probably since the conclusion of Lover At Last), it has felt that the romance portion has been more of an afterthought with the intimacy scenes (sexual and emotional). Kind of like throwing you a bone since it was the romance section you found the book in! While I'm definitely glad that one of my favorite series has continued for so long and that with new books you may have the opportunity to revisit some of your favorite characters (Ms. Ward, if you're reading this, this is me asking a for book about John Matthew and Xhex!!!) sometimes 500 pages go by and that character you were hoping to hear about isn't even mentioned. With this book at least I liked how she delved into Sahvages's past. It made him more dimensional and it made me much more vested in his character and path. One of the characters mentioned in this book from the previous books is Murhder. I remember reading Lover Mine (John Matthew & Xhex's story AND MY FAVORITE BDB BOOK!) and thinking I can't wait to read Murhder's story. This book mentioned his mate Sara and their adopted son Nate and I swear I couldn't even remember the details of their story. Their romance left no impact. All I remember about Murhder's story is that I went into thinking this is gonna be awesome, he was driven mad by the sympath torture and just how cray cray is he? Yeah. No. Think kumbaya and kittens. I digress. I found Lover Unveiled to be a good read, a worthy addition to the BDB and reason enough to stick around for the next installment.

Another Brother finds his Lover…
Book 19!Wow! I can’t believe there are 19 of these now.Lover Unveiled has all the classic BDB parts we have all come to love about J.R. Ward’s writing:Sexy Vampire Warriors XEvil Entity wanting to destroy them XA bonding Mate for a particular Warrior XAnd even a really interesting connection to several other characters and outside interested parties.I really enjoyed this installment of the series as we followed Sahvage and Mae through their (mis)adventure hunting the dread Book and how intermingled the story was with so many others. In true fashion, the sexy vampire was all alpha male and even when things ended up going pear shaped, the Brotherhood got it together. Something that struck me in this book was the lack of steamy scenes in this one; don’t get me wrong, there were some and they were steamy but on the spice scale, I’d only have to rank this as a 3/5. It’s all good because J.R. Ward is still an autoread and autobuy for me!

Although I enjoyed this book,
I did check out the reviews for the next couple of books, and I'm worried. Worried, because Lassiter is one of my favorite characters, and many reviewers do not like the way that book handles his HEA. And that is one of the great things about this series--the individual BDB's HEA.Which brings me to this story. Yes, it's A HEA for the main characters. And I always enjoy the continuing appearances of the brothers. And, as always, the books are always long enough to satisfy. I thought it was interesting that we met a brand new hunk in this book.I will probably not jump into reading the next books because of their reviews.....but there is no doubt in my mind that I'll eventually buy them when and if they go on sale. Because the series is just that good.

Oh my Lassiter!
I love Devina she is a character and needs her own book to be happy with whoever accepts and makes her a better demon ;) , liked Erika, really annoyed by Mae, if I never hear from her it'll be too soon.Over all, the book is so great, can't wait to see my Lass get his HEA, hope is no ravhyn because i don't feel her yet, he deserves a ver HEA and someone who makes him really happy. The story is told from many angles, stuff is rearranging now that Devina and Lass are in the pic, i can't wait to see where all goes but looks chaotic! Love it!
