Scott Joplin: Sheet Music for Piano: From Beginner to Intermediate; Over 25 Masterpieces Spiral-bound – March 26, 2019

I bought this as a gift, and the recipient loves the quality of the spiral binding to make it easy to set at the piano without needing clips. It says from beginning to intermediate, but they are the actual original songs by Scott Joplin so I think probably all intermediate songs at least.

Challenging music

I should have taken the word of other reviewers. Nice binding, lots of music but this book is definitely not easy and therefore definitely not for beginners.

This is not a beginners book. There is very little fingering given, keys are difficult, and while there is a few pages dedicated to Joplin's bio, there is no information on how to actually play the music, such as how to handle the left hand leaps and syncopation. While I love the music, this isn't helpful for playing it.

only thing i liked was the spiral binding

i never would have bought this book if i could have seen inside, most books let you see a sample inside , so i went by the title beginner. i figure it is for advanced intermediate, it is very hard to grade piano music because they say easy piano a lot, even when its not. the rating is low because i feel it is not beginner at all, but would be an excellent book for advanced intermediate.

I purchased this book a few months ago and have had countless hours of pleasure from it. It is well made, sits nicely on the piano, and has a good selection of music. I'll never be a great pianist, but with practice I can make a decent stab at most of the pieces. The fingering and dynamic suggestions help. One of my best buys of the year. Thanks very much.

Bought as a present for my 10 year old grandson who has developed a passion for piano & for Scot Joplin. Ideal for him to self learn.

I had bought this book previously a couple of years back but lost it so I knew what it was like before I bought it.Good book and well laid out.

Nothing special about this book and it's definitely not for beginners, none of Scott Joplin pieces are. From the title it makes it sounds like they are adaptations of his pieces for various levels but they are just verbatim copies of his music sheets. All his music sheets are available for free online by the way since they are in the public domain. Worthless book with no added value.
