I received the docking station and had issues with the video working. I worked with Tripp Lite support via email for a few days which was frustrating - just because of the delay with email. Then Tripp Lite reached out wanting to make sure the problem was resolved and provided a phone number. Once I talked to a human, things went great. It was determined there was actually an defect with the product and a new one was shipped to me at no additional cost.

These have been a thorn in our side, they will randomly drop external video and to get it back you end up having to delete out of Windows Device Manager. Will work for 2 days then stop again.... Issue is utterly random. Even though Dual video out is listed as support do not count on it. Stick with OEM over these disaster, Tripp Lite engineering support is beyond useless

My general experience with Tripp-lite products has been positive, and this dock didn't disappoint. It's very sold, feels good, and works well. I've had no issues with it. Well worth a few dollars more than no-name competitors.

Purchased for a late 2016 MacBook Pro (which only has USB C ports) to use on my desk with multiple monitors and wired network connection. So far my experience has been pretty good. The dock was immediately recognized and offered the network and audio options. The video ports and card readers don't appear until something is plugged into them. I am happy that this product works well as an early USB C dock.The issues I have found may be early bugs and will hopefully be fixed with updates - Sound out isn't always recognized. Sometimes it doesn't show up in audio settings as an audio output option. - Only HDMI worked when I tried to output both HDMI and VGA. Since I have multiple monitors, I have to use a second adapter for other monitors. - When powered by MacBook power adapter, the network and video signal stay operational after disconnecting from Mac. This keeps the network port operational and my monitor doesn't go to sleep. - Found when connecting or disconnecting with Mac off, it doesn't always wake properly, so I make sure Mac is awake by opening the lid before connecting and disconnecting from dock.Several issues but overall it does what I want it to.

I thought I could trust the Tripp-Lite brand, supposing the many complaints about video trouble were outliers, and I needed the VGA and DisplayPort video outputs this offers. In short, I am quite disappointed. The instructions are a bit inadequate, lacking some information and being ambiguous in some places, so it took me a while to get things connected correctly. I connected my DisplayPort monitor and my VGA monitor and they both worked fine... until the laptop was shut down. The next time I turned it on, neither monitor worked, but both suddenly came on after the system was on for over 10 minutes. Now, the DisplayPort won't work at all and connecting it causes the VGA output to stop working. The USB connection to the DP monitor worked when the monitor was working. I have had no success with any of the other USB-A ports, not even for my plain-vanilla external keyboard. The USB-C port connected to my external drive seems to work fine. The audio port doesn't seem to be working, either. I thought the slim under-the-laptop shape would be a nice advantage for my limited desk space. While it looks nice, it turned out to not be anywhere near as practical as I had hoped. I have a support ticket submitted, hoping that this is only a defective unit. (For the record, Tripp-Lite is now part of Eaton.) However, if all the video output complaints are for defective units, this product's quality becomes highly suspect. I don't recommend it.

This is a solid product and connects to a USB-C port but provides multiple USB and a HDMI port to hook my second monitor. The USB-C cable is very short so I bought an extension so it works better with my standup desk that can move. I recommend you buy the extension USB-C to female USB-C extension to add a few feet to the cable and the hub can sit farther away from the Mac. Performance is great, I run speakers, a monitor, Microphone, and charge items from it.

It comes with only 1 hdmi, very easy to use through usb c, quickly detected by my windows 10 and didn’t require any additional driver to install.In my opinion, on the expensive side.

This is a great Hub/Dock! I use it with my GPD P2 Max laptop and it works brilliantly.Unlike other hubs/Docks that I’ve used it seams to be very stable and does not disconnect for random reasons like using a wireless mouse with it (still does not make sense to me why other units have this problem)The only issues I have had with this is my computer does not like to recognize the device if it’s booted up with it connected. (Could just be the laptop, don’t know, don’t have another USB C device to test it)It also seems to reset if you plug power into it AFTER plugging it into the computer, witch can be a bit annoying if you are actively using something connected to it like the Ethernet but a quick replug to the laptop fixes it.And lastly I wish the way the SD card was done a little different, it shows as a removable device (witch I guess it it but) this means that passing the SD card to like a VM is just impossible, but that’s a minor thing that most will likely never run into so....

In der Beschreibung steht, dass mit den 2 HDMI Anschlüssen die Bildschirme erweitert werden können. Bei meinem Laptop (windows 11) funktioniert das nicht. Egal welche Einstellungen ich vornehmen klappt es nicht.
