I love the Meross light switches. They are my favorite smart home device in my home. They are cheaper than smart light bulbs, but one light switch can do the job of several light bulbs. Because they are physical switches you can use either your voice or the switch. There is never any confusion about turning on the switch and then talking to the light. In rooms where my kids frequently forget to turn the light off, I'm able to set up schedules and timers (so, for example, I have the light in the laundry room turn off ten minutes after it is turned on. Installation is pretty simple, assuming you have the correct wiring in your switch boxes (you have to have the white (neutral) wire or this won't work).Be aware: these switches require a lot of room in the switch box, so if your box is shallow, this may be difficult for you to fit this and the wire connections in the same space. If your wire connectors are tight, you can do some pushing and prodding to make the devices fit, but it can be a bit of a challenge getting everything back in the box.Installation suggestions for the buyer:* If you have a two (plus) gang box where you are installing these switches, consider re-using the wire cap that is already installed on the white wires in your box, since it will be larger than the orange one provided by Meross.* Remember to twist the wires clockwise so that they get tighter together when you apply the wire cap.* If you install multiple ones at a time, you have to name the device before you know which one it is; just use a temporary name. It is easy to switch the name once you get the light configured.* If you are integrating with Alexa, decide whether you are going to do your automation in either the Meross app or in the Alexa app. It can be confusing to come back to modify settings months later and not remember whether the customization is in the Alexa app or in the Meross app.* Once you see how awesome these switches are, you're going to want to get more, so why not just buy the box of four to start with? You'll save money because I'm pretty sure you're going to want more.* Consider the manufacturer or your other smart devices and try to minimize the number of manufacturers you get products from. Each manufacturer uses their own app to set up and connect their devices. Even if you plan to use Alexa for your day-to-day interactions with the devices, you still need to have the apps from each manufacturer on your phone for setup and configuration. So, once you purchase one kind of smart switch, life will be easier for you if you keep all your smart switches (of the same type, at least) from the same manufacturer.* Once you connect the Meross app to Alexa, the Alexa software will automatically detect all new devices added in the Meross app. However, if you go into the Alexa app, you can change the device type from "switch" to "light." This allows you to tell Alexa to do things like "Alexa, turn off all lights." If they are listed as their default type, "switch", this Alexa command won't work for those devices. But if you change the type to "light" then that command will work for that device.I've purchased and installed more than twenty of these switches over the last year and I haven't had a single one fail or come broken. These are high-quality switches.Suggestions for Meross for improvement: When using multiple Meross switches in the same gang box, it can be quite frustrating trying to line them all up perfectly so the faceplate fits over all of them correctly. It would be ideal if Merross sold units with two or three switches (with corresponding faceplate covers). It would make installation much easier. Also, I have now set up about twenty of these switches across two homes. I really wish I didn't have to get wiring instructions EVERY TIME I want to connect a switch to the app. Having it as an option is really helpful, but making it required every time is quite irritating after several installations.

This is the 2nd Meross product I've installed so far, and I’ve been EXTREMELY happy with their products. This particular switch I should give a 6th star to!! Reason being: As I was preparing to install these, I noticed the house was originally wired so that the live & traveler-1 connections were backwards (opposite to the way described in the Meross manual). This was actually the fault of the way the house was built.Thankfully, the Meross 3-way switch was intelligent enough to operate with this alternate wiring configuration! I was very pleasantly surprised to see this work!! I was also extremely surprised to find out I didn't need to use both 3-way smart switches on the same circuit (in other words, you can pair this Meross smart switch with a traditional switch on the other end of the room), and they will play very well together. So with the 2-pack, I was able to use the 2nd switch to control a different room light. This was another nice surprise!These Meross 3-way switches (version 3) were both placed in a dual-gang configuration and gave enough space for the switches right next to it. The electric boxes it fit in are the old-fashioned metal boxes, and the switches still allowed enough space behind it to store all the wires.The switch is a traditional decorator(Decora) style and is very elegant looking. To turn on or off the switch, you would just tap the bottom part of the paddle. The green indicator light is bright enough to find the switch in the dark, but it’s also subtle enough to not disturb anyone if placed in a bedroom.I have the Meross switches connected to the Meross app, Amazon Alexa, and Google Assistant/Home. All 3 methods of remotely controlling this 3-way switch (as well as the manual method) all work great. Not only would certainly recommend these switches over and over again. (In fact, I actually recommended this switch to one family member & another friend this afternoon) :-)4 photos are attached!

Wow, these “just work” with HomeKit. Setup is a bit cumbersome having to manually type the number out. No reason they did not provide a QR code for normal fast and easy setup with HomeKit. But other than that, this is a nearly perfect unit. Subtle green nightlight, turns orange when network connection is offline. Operation is most flawless of all my HomeKit devices. Design follows the KISS principle. App is kinda ugly but you really only need it to set the mode of the tiny LED nightlight / status light. Would have liked power consumption stats like iDevices provides.

The media could not be loaded. This was my first video I've ever done so be easy on me please lol. The video is about installing it. I want to start by saying I really feel like I have the worst luck with most things. "Easy" tasks end up turning into a complicated mess usually. I'm happy to say that this truly was beyond simple. The directions are easy to understand and walk you through everything step by step. They provide everything you need--including the labels for the wires. The app is very user friendly and intuitive. I do not need the schedule / scene options so I did not try those. It automatically connected to Alexa which I thought was awesome. For once I had ZERO issues with anything and it works exactly as it should. Highly recommend. Actually this is the second product I have of this brand and I'm impressed.

One of my favorite purchases. I replaced all of the light switches in my home, and paired them to Alexa. I really appreciate the automation and ease of use it provides. I can turn on/off the ceiling fans, lights and and anything else connected to the light switch. I also have the portable plugs as well as the Meross garage door openers.
