An excelent light bulbs and a reliable emeregancy light source.
My evaluation is based on my experience, I purchased the bulbs a few monthsago. This week I found that they work well in a power outage. The brightness is dimmed to about 60 watts when they are not receiving electricity. When they are receiving electricity they are much brighter maybe between 75 and 100 watts. My power was out for only a few hours, I am glad I have them for emergencies. worth the money as my safe lighting backup.

Good product
Very Bright Light. Don't need any batteries. Plug into a lamp and it charges that way. Take it out and it can cut on without any electricity.

Worked, but not as described
We bought these a few months ago. Have been using them ever since as regular bulbs in our lamps so they would be charged should the power go out. A couple weeks ago, we had a monsoon come through that knocked our power out for a couple days. Not happy about the power being out but looking forward to trying out these bulbs. Instructions say you should be able tap the top of the bulb to turn on but that did not work for us on any of the bulbs. The only way we could get them to come on was to screw the clip piece on. Then they lit up. We were under the impression they could remain in the lamps and double tap them to come on. Nope. We just hing them by their clips in places we wanted light. They are very bright and do last 3-5 hours. About hour 3, they begin to lose charge and after that, get less and less bright. But what is nice, if you just need them for an hour or two, you can remove the clip piece and save some juice for later. I do recommend these for short power outages. Ours was out for 2 nights so the second night we did not have any charged bulbs.

Great5 Emergency Lighting
Since purchasing the Neporal emergency rechargeable light bulb we experienced a power outage, I am an amputee, and I was taking a shower when the outage occurred. The outage lasted 15 minutes and I would have been stuck in the shower till the power was restored. The emergency lighting was a life saver, and I was able to complete my shower with no problems

Good light but not what I needed
I charged the 4 bulbs in lamps for the listed time. They do NOT work in a lamp when unplugged (to simulate loss of power) and I wanted to be able to have a lamp with light in various rooms. They do work with the attachment screwed on but I don't want to walk around the house holding something breakable. I'll have to figure out a way to hang the bulb from something to use when I don't have power. Since I just received the bulbs, I can't answer to the longevity.I also went by the wattage listed thinking these were somewhat equivalent to a 75 w bulb (would have preferred comparable to 100 w) so the light could be used in current lamps but they're dimmer than I expected. They only charge when the bulb is actually on, not just in a lamp that is plugged into an outlet.

BUY THESE!!!!
We keep 2 of these bulbs in lamps we use daily. this way, they’re charged and ready when we lose power. The times we’ve lost power in storms, these lights stay on ! No more pulling out flashlights or having to live by dim lights, or lights you have to hold. Simply put them in a lamp and it will be like normal with a lamp on. We give them as gifts and anyone wanting to be prepared needs to have these. We rotate them out to make sure they are all charged at all times. Keep the box and write the dates when you’re charging them to keep track.

No more spending time in the dark!
Living in the country we have quite a few of power outage. Now we won't be in the dark and no more lighting candles. Works really well. I love that it emits a white light instead of a yellowish light. Love them!
