Good book to learn how to extend your harvest
Lots of good ideas to build different structures to plant earlier, grow later and perhaps grow food all year.

Gift purchase
I checked this book out from my library to start with. I purchased it as a hostess gift for a good friend who is interested in setting up some type of greenhouse area. This book covers all type of units and explains how they function. She thinks it will be an excellent reference for her project.

Good info/great photos
I've been gardening for a long time but just moved to a new yard, so I am starting over again with new conditions. I love seeing photos of other gardens and hand-made devices. This book is a delight in that respect. The author is knowledgeable and practiced. Lots of tips and techniques while avoiding fancy/expensive solutions. Good book.

Excellent information.
Good advice, descriptions of invasive garden insects with realistic organic remedies to keep them at bay. The photographs are lovely and helpful in creating ideas for covers in protection of vegetable and flowers. No complaints from me, worth every penny I paid.

Beginner or seasoned expert this book is for you!
This is NOT just a gardening book. This is a gardeners bible to growing with the aid of covers. If you want to extend your growing season but don’t know where to start... start by buying this book. It’s all in here, everything you want/need to know about growing with covers for pest/sun/frost protection. She added a monthly ‘planner’ section with ideas for each month of the year and what you can do to help prepare for your growing season. Another great section focuses on specific plants and plant families with all kinds of tips and information on growing them ‘under cover’!If you’ve read Nikis other books then you already know what to expect... excellence. This book will be a reference for years to come not just a read once and ignore. There is so much great information and awesome photos. Beginner or seasoned expert this book is for you!

Perfect Book for Canadian Gardeners!
Not cheap for a paperback but a treasure throve of gardening information for the new weather. The climate is getting hotter and new pests and diseases are surfacing. So much help with different ways of coping with problems in an ecological way. I'm extremely pleased.

Great book
I like what Nikki has put into this book. Loads of pictures and good reading material. She adds info on what to grow but it was weak on cultivars. Perhaps for new edition? Can't wait until her next book!
