MerrellMen's Moab 2 Vent Hiking Shoe

I never have to break this shoe in by Merrill. First day I took it on an extreme hike Amit rocked. I cleaned them up and I used them for work the next time I used them.

In nearly every shoe other than my Justin work boots, I wear a 14 wide. I've got eight different style of shoes that I wear a 14 Wide in. This shoe in the 14 wide is more like the size of a 16 X Wide. It is WAY too big.

I have been searching for a pair of shoes (Achilles tendinitis) for probably a year, and lo and behold, I found these and I absolutely love them! I would recommend these to everyone. I will definitely purchase more of these in the near future.

These are durable, comfortable and look hood with jeans or shorts.

These are my husbands go to shoes instead of sneakers...they are wonderful. Only problem, the wrong size was shipped -- twice now

Wanted for hill/mountain trail walking, in Summer. Sole and tread (Vibram) is great. Tough looking shoe with a reinforced rib projecting from the heel towards the toe - offers confidence in it's durability perhaps? Leans towards Ventilation - Maybe at the expense of water-resistance? We shall see. I'm not worried - You know where you are with a Merrell..Ease of ordering, Info, Updates & Service - Superb

As usual with Merrell, comfortable straight out of the box ...

I wear only Merrell for several years but sometimes it is hard to find wide version in my size and in black color (my preference). They fit as expected. The only thing I would change are laces which have tendency to undo itself since they are round. The fix is double knot or replace with flat ones.

Overall these shoes have been good. I found I needed to replace the insoles with my personal orthotics, not something I've had to do with other Merrell's in the past.PROSThey are really solid. Provide good support and overall comfort has been fine after the switching of insoles.CONSthey are a bit heavy, heavier than I expected anyway. The material seems to be easily damaged and scuffed-up especially along the seames where mesh meet suede.
