Well made clock sturdy and nice

Got tired of having to grab my phone to see the time when our stove clock 'disappeared' when the timer was in use. Yes, we have a cheap stove that doesn't multitask well. So, I found this small analog clock to sit on the shelf above the range and now we can always see the current time regardless of what's appearing on the stove display. It doesn't tick either, which is nice, and the red version goes great with my 'oldies' kitchen decor. Win-win.Ordered Another! My mom needed a small, replacement alarm clock for her 1995 model that died. She liked my new one so much that we ordered a white one for her. It's not stark white, but more of a cream color, which she prefers. Looks very classy.

Clock was as good looking as I'd hoped. No ticking noise. Solid (cat managed to knock it to the floor today and it's still going strong). The light is good and the button for that is on the back but easy to locate in the dark. Battery is easy to install. What I don't like is that the button to set and stop the alarm is a small slide in the back of the clock. It is in the recessed area and shares space in the recess with the button to set the alarm time and the button to set the time. I don't want to wake up anyone else when my alarm goes off and this isn't as easy as hitting a stop button on top of the clock. I won't return it. It will work well in a guest room. But I'll be looking for a clock as good as this one but with a better alarm stop.

Based on the looks, functions, and positive reviews I thought this would be the perfect little clock for a bathroom shelf to replace an old clock that died. I put a fresh battery in this clock but it would not work. The backlight worked when I pressed the button, but the core functionality of keeping time did not work. I submitted for an exchange and Amazon was amazingly fast to send me a new one before I even had time to ship back the old one. Unfortunately the new one was also a dud, the backlight worked after putting in a fresh battery but the core function of the clock did not work so it's going back and I will seek out a totally different clock by a reputable brand. Side note: Upon receipt of 2nd clock, I looked very closely at the guide that shows which way the battery should go, and it was backwards! It indicated the + and - ends of the battery to go in the opposite directions of where they should go. If you attempt to follow what it shows, the battery is not going to actually fit. Flipping it around is correct, and as I said, the light then worked on the clock - but I didn't even care about that since the base clock functionality did not work at all.

It's a good size for a desk clock. The real metal box gives it a nice retro look. It's quiet. It has been running for 6 months so far on one AA battery (rechargeable 2800mAh).The hand that ticks every second was annoying to me, but I was able to disassemble the clock and remove it pretty easily. FYI, the buttons on top are just decorative screws, and the night light button on the back does not work on my unit.

Love this little clock. It was a little tricky getting the AA battery to fit in this but other than that I think it’s totally perfect :)

As others have mentioned, this clock is very cute and does have an external metal case. However, as others have mentioned, there are problems with the time and alarm setting knobs coming off. Mine arrived without any time setting knob whatsoever, which was highly disappointing. I also noticed that another reviewer posted a picture of almost the same thing as I have for the same clock (same color and everything) just a couple of months before this one arrived to me, which makes me wonder if when defective items are returned, if they are just sent right back out to the next customer. Anyway, if you do take a chance on this clock, make sure all the buttons are intact and everything is working.As a side note, it doesn't make a ticking sound. If you put your ear right up against it, you will hear a faint noise of the motor that runs the second hand, but I had to listen very closely with it right up against my ear to hear it.
