Great information!
I had to get this book for a class when I was completing my Psychology degree. It came quickly and was brand new. No missing pages and was in pristine condition.

Excellent resource, should be used by all school administrators
To follow best practices, educators of the gifted need a basic understanding of the extreme differences and range of needs within a gifted program. This book is well organized, easy to read, and includes numerous references for further research. I feel it should be made available to (or perhaps required reading for) every school administrator responsible for decisions involving gifted students.

Printed upside down and backwards
The copy of the book I got was printed upside down and backwards. I bought it from an Amazon seller, when attempting to return the book, I discovered that I would have to pay for the shipping. Why do I need to pay to send back a book that is defective? I had to buy the kindle version because of how close my class started, I recommend that version instead.

Recommended Book for Gifted Education!
I highly recommend Special Populations in Gifted Education. This book is especially useful for educators, those who work with gifted children in schools and other environments that impact learning. You will find a wide range of topics on special groups of children -- gifted girls, gifted boys, students from rural areas, children in poverty, diverse groups, etc. This book was written by authors who are experts in their fields, from all around the U.S. It is an excellent resource and cites current research. A "must have" for educators in the field of gifted! Very useful and a timely publication.
