The King’s Beast, Vol. 1

Beautifully drawn, good story line, definitely worth reading.

I really enjoyed this manga and can’t wait for the next installment. The characters are very interesting and the art style is beautiful. I highly recommend if you like Yona of the Dawn or Dawn of the Arcana.

I love the cover(colors are so pretty)and after reading a certain page I can’t wait to put vol 1&2 side by side. For those that bought it, you know what I mean. Some ppl might go crazy over little damages but not me. It’s traveling and being handled by many so a little damage is expected. Now if it was ripped(and I mean a big rip)then that’s when my heart would break. Now I will have a loooong debate with myself about laminating….

I thought the story was interesting and picked it up, knowing it was written/drawn by the same author as the Dawn of Arcana manga. There was a lot of parts where I wished it wasn't so ... cliche. But I hope to see more originality in it.

This one was getting pushed at me from multiple vendors so I finally gave in. So glad I did. The setup is unique - prince given a beast servant to protect him who’s the sister of his previously murdered servant. The new servant is female but living as male to protect herself. She’s focused and determined, and a well thought-out character. The prince she serves wins her loyalty by being understanding and lending his support in finding out who the villain is. Definitely got my attention and held it through the second volume. The art is stunning and the characters that have been introduced have the potential to be varied and mysterious.

I have enjoyed Rei Toma's previous works. This work takes place in the same universe as Dawn of the Arcana but you don't need to have read that series to appreciate this one. Beautiful artwork and an engaging story have me ready for the next installment!

A disadvantaged orphaned girl sees all the ways her people are abused, and she gives up everything off herself to help her people.Not only that, but she's not the typical shojo portrayal of a quiet, innocent, weak, boy crazy girl. She's a master of her body, not because of artificial makeup or supernatural powers, but because she trains every day to be excellent in strength, speed, and strategy.Beyond that, she even has many internal struggles.Stunning plot with great characters!!! This is now my favorite manga!

So far it's a really good story and the art is very nice. I recommend this for anyone that wants a good story
