Vegan Jerky Sampler Gift Box Father's Day Gift : Vegan and Vegetarian Meatless Plant-Based Jerkies Made from Jackfruit, Seitan, Soy, and Fruit

Obviously these are unusual items. My favorites were the mushrooms! I’m certainly not a mushroom fan, but I’m aware of their their significant nutritional impact. They were really tasty. The seiten was another winner. I do like it in a variety of ways. The fruit (pineapple and mango) were high in carbs ( obviously) and good. I was actually hoping for more of a keto pack, but that didn’t happen. I really didn’t care for the bananas but my friend loved them. So a successful trial.

When you buy a sample pack, I think it's important to realize that you're paying for the privilege to try the different brands and flavors.1. The value proposition in this box is to try the different flavors - not "did I get an adequate amount of food for the money I spent". The answer will certainly be no.2. Don't expect to love everything in the box. In fact, if there's a good variety, expect to have some favorites and some disappointments. A successful sample box will (almost by definition) have both.3. Realize that the items in your box may be different from those in the reviews. While this seller has very faithfully and specifically listed the items in the box, they may change over time.For me, I only liked 20% of what was in the box. Good flavor, decent texture kind of stuff. But there were several items in the box that literally taste rotten. This is somewhat by design. Fruit based jerkies have a wine-ish flavor. Think fruit roll-up flavor. But if you find that flavor objectionable, realize that 3-4 of these samples have that flavor profile. By far, the worst in that regard was the Banana Jerky. I'm sure someone out there likes this - it's even their favorite. But I've enticed several people to the banana jerky, and no-one, not even the canines, could even swallow.So if you're good with the concept that you're paying to try several jerky snacks (and a couple of fruit snacks in jerky packaging), and you're good with the notion that you'll probably only like 2 or three of the options, then it's a good purchase for you. Otherwise, be comfortable spending more for individual packages and options you think you will like, or getting better value on larger quantities of things that may not be your preference.

I added this to my wish list and was gifted it. I love jerky but I'm trying to eat more plant based. I haven't eaten everything out of this sampler box yet, but so far everything is very tasty! This was a great gift!

My vegetarian son loves snacks and generally hates mushrooms but he loved these. I will be ordering more.

Got this for a jerky fanatic as a gift. Wanted something new, that he’s never tried. He loved all of it!

Though not all the jerky was good, it was a great way to find different ones to try. I found one I really liked and one I loved.The box was worth it to me but I don't think ill buy again
