This book does an amazing job going over the technologies used in today’s fintechs.

Interesting book

So the book itself is fine. It's got some good information. In my opinion it positions some pretty untried technology as mainstream... But perhaps time will prove the authors right.The stars I deducted were because of the naked self promotion. Steve O'Hanlon devoted thousands of words to chronicling the history of Numerix. He describes himself as "bold" and "visionary." It all feels a little unnecessary and narcissistic. It's a distraction from the overall goal of understanding the industry.

Fintech for Dummies is not just a casual "flip through" style book. It is chock full of information on some of the hottest topics in finance and technology.Here are some sections that I learned a ton from:> Blockchain> AI in Fintech> Developing an Optimal Cloud Strategy> Working with CPUs & GPUs> ...and moreOf course, the grey sections which walked through the History of Numerix were pretty cool as well...I'm obviously a Numerix fan!My advice: Don't rush through this book. If you slow pace yourself, you'll learn a tremendous amount about the FinTech landscape.Huge props to Steven O'Hanlon and Susanne Chishti for putting together such an incredibly comprehensive book.Best read of the year for me.

This is an amazing book! it covers so much information at such a detailed level. The book introduced the large picture of the FinTech industry, supported by a lot of details on various aspects of best practice from the perspectives of real practitioners and leaders. The authors candidly shared their valuable thoughts, insight and experience on what it takes to run a successful, leading FinTech company, on how to survive the technology migration and upgrade, and how to excel in the challenging market, and a lot more. The information from this book will help not only those who are in the industry, but also those who want to succeed in any business field. The enthusiasm and the dedication of the authors reflected in this book are really inspiring. I hope to encourage anyone who wants to be successful in technology, business or any fields, read and enjoy the book. It will be a rewarding experience!

Found this book to be jammed packed with information about all aspects of the FinTech industry. Excellent and comprehensive coverage for anyone new to FinTech. Some of the material I already knew and felt the topics were well researched and written. I know the book will serve as an excellent reference and go-to guide on the FinTech industry. Coverage of the material new to me was concise, clear and very easy to understand without me having to go outside the book to fill in the blanks. Very comprehensive guide that will serve as a good reference for seasoned industry experts, and, as a good introduction to FinTech newbies.

Having been involved in finance and with FinTech startups for many years, it’s great to finally have a well-written and detailed book on how to create a successful FinTech platform.The authors go into great detail to explain everything that’s required to not only create an innovative platform, but also how to create demand for your FinTech product or service and grow your customer base successfully.Co-author Ms Susanne Chishti is a well-known global expert on the subject matter and legendary in the world of FinTech and finance. Her contribution and input makes this book a must-read for any aspiring FinTech entrepreneur or anyone just curious about FinTech and the digital disruption of banking and finance through technology.Highly recommended !

Shallow, shallow writing. It's a collection of words without explaining the industry landscape, structure or business models in detail. Every 2 pgs a side bar about "Numeric" appears about how great it is. Irritating read. Waste of time and money.

Overall, introductory ideas of Fintech landscape & how technology is shaping this industry are presented nicely.I’d expect more visual stories.

A good introduction of the topic, appropriate for those interested to know FinTech.
