Good equipment for starter
Writing this review after a year of usage (bought on 19-Mar-2024),Good: Quality does feel good to hold in hands, has a nice heft to it.. and the provided additional bits & accessories do give some starting ideas for beginners who are going to use this tool (It did help me). The rubber grip is good.Bad: Finding 3mm (1/8") bits is hard, any product I brought in that size either are of bad quality or very expensive such that the bits alone would cost 1/3rd of this product's price (3.5k when I bought, quality bits are 1.2k).I couldn't even find them locally, no hardware stores sell 3mm bits here.. (Even the 1/4" 6mm is a rare find)Ugly: The heating problem, any motor would create heat but a good design would dissipate the heat properly, this does not do that.. typically at higher RPMs it gets hot and becomes uncomfortable to hold (I mentioned that the rubber grip is good, still with sweaty hands due to heat, it becomes a slipper risk).

Very sturdy for its price
The drill machine itself, despite being cheap, does not feel like it will fall apart in my hand. I have repeatedly used it until it overheated, used it at bad angles, yet it has not broken. Good productCons:However, the different bits and heads that come with the box are a completely different deal. I think they add those cheap bits simply to compete with other alternatives at this price range.Good bits are not cheap, and a full set can cost as much as the drill machine itself. It is well worth the price, because cheap bits can break easily, injuring you and the product you are working on.I strongly recommend buying better bits if you want to actually use this product.

Ease of use with flexibility
Great tool for DIY's for small grinding, sanding and finishing jobs at home, with most attachments one can think of.

Very Very Disappointing
It was working well in the beginning. But after sometime the accessories get stuck in the machine and you would be unable to remove them. The speed knob does not work any more, making dangerous random changes in speed.Even though under warranty the response from Black and Decker is pathetic. They tried to fix it one, but the problem came back.I have written many times, but no reply..A lot to my work has been pending for over a month now. What a shame..I will update this post if I hear from the customer care..UPDATE 20/12:The first time I sent it for repair (a few months back) at their authorized service centre, I informed Black & Decker technician that one of the problems was that the speed adjustment knob need repair, he brushed that away and did not bother and said no issue was there. When they sent it back the speed problem persisted and the churn would change speed suddenly while I am using it.Now, the machine is still under warranty. I have sent to their service centre exactly one month ago (Last Oct 2023).The claim that the machine problem is not under warranty. Calling and emailing countless times, with very little effective response. Now they’re are searching for a spare.I called the 1800 Black and Decker customer care to get solution form the company, they simply answer, say we will help and just give you their dealer number. THAT IS ALL. Only sharing number. No one cares their for customers. I truly trusted this brand and was willing to purchase more stuff, but their after service is so pathetic that I seriously worry I will be wasting money on this company and endanger myself. My machine is not working for the longest time. And still waiting for updates about the repair and the time they would actually sent my machine back.Truly disappointing…Their emails and phone number are useless. Just for show. The Brand name is diluted.I wish the company take a stance and be more attentive and caring towards its customers.I hope the company take necessary actions to solve my problem and the problem of many other customers.*to Be updated*

A must have for a DIY person working on small Items !!!
A really nice compact tool for working on smaller and miniature projects. I purchased to work on small wood and metal based projects. Had searched the local market for similar but all suggested go from online. The other brands did not have a good review and pricing also not significantly different. Moreover, this comes with a 180W motor, meaning good torque and speed. Comes with a nice handy stand attachment, which I feel is a major plus point, as you would just need to play around with the cable and not hold the tool. Will use it my projects and update if requiredThe only con part is the packaging of the delivery - there was no Amazon packing, but just a label on the real panel of it ( took it off before I took the pic). However it had a seal and the contents internally were intact thankfullyComes with a nice box, meaning you can store back everything compactly all in one placeBought Homdum routing bits and my first experience at routing ... its a great tool ... but like with all power tools ... wear safety gear and proceed ...
