I'M GUTTED!
The scales arrived yesterday (15 July '23). They're very easy to read (no backlight, so have a light on), extremely easy to set for your preferred weight measuring (KG, pounds or stones and pounds, measuring in quarter-pound increments), and seem accurate. Why am I gutted? Because they showed me as four pounds heavier than my old scales! Arghhh! To be fair, that was after a heavy meal last night. The difference was down to 2.25lb between the scales this morning.I tried weighing on my usual weighing area (wood floor), on a different hard surface in the bathroom (slightly lighter than in my usual place, but still heavier than the older scales display), and on carpet. The carpet showed me as 2 stone (28lbs: 12.73KG) lighter than on the usual floor. Much as I'd prefer that, I'll stick to my normal wieght-reading area.Very impressed, so far.

Best scales I've had
So simple to use and read, no battery to replace, great design, good price. Importantly, they are accurate - readings tally with GP/clinic scales 3 times since purchase a few months ago. Great, too, that this eco innovation is from a British company that's been around since the 18th century.

Very Nice Scales
Ordered these on Monday afternoon and arrived at 8.30 Tuesday. Well packed just in the original manufacturer's box.Bought these because I live in Smethwick where Salter has had their home since 1760, that's where their involvement seems to end as these are as you'd expect made in China but via a Manchester company! The only thing Salter is the badge. Now the scales are well made and all you do is set them to whatever you prefer to be measured in KG LBS or stones, they come set to KG. Press the knob on the top and stand on them. What you want to know is whether are they accurate, well I've been 81 kg for the last 10 months and on these I am 80,9 KG so they are as accurate as the scales that broke a few weeks ago.The best feature there are no batteries to replace or corrode. However, the instructions say do not store or use in a damp/high humidity environment. WTF they are bathroom scales and bathrooms get humid and damp. They come with a 15-year guarantee, which at my age will probably see me off.edit: I've now used them for a few weeks and they do fluctuate by a pound or two a day which is what my body does. Also, I've noticed they move 1/4 lb either way after a shower but at least they don't read the same like my old ones did no matter when I got on them. Pretty normal to have fluctuating weight, isn't it?

Mindnumbingly Stupid Operational Design
The media could not be loaded. I am actually furious at how incredible mindless this company is for designing this scale.(I included a picture and video as proof)First of, the packaging and the quality of material is very neat and appealing. But the actual functional design is mindnumbingly stupid:The UNIT (kg/lb) Button:It's for some incomprehensible reason randomly located on the backside of the scale. But that's not the worst, which is...The TINIEST OF POWER BUTTONS!:Whoever came up with (and approved on) deciding to make the MOST IMPORTANT (Power) BUTTON the diameter of a tiny toothpick / tip of a pen, really is devoid of any common sense. I am genuinely not exaggarating when I'm saying it is TINY! So tiny that even when it's on a flat surface, it is very difficult to reach it, (ESPECIALLY for people with thicker fingers) inevitably forcing you to awkwardly having to lift up the whole scale -- defeating the whole purpose of a simple scale! The DISPLAY:The second idiocy is the actual operational indicator of the scale! Meaning: When placing low weight items on the scale, it only shows the weight for a second or two before going back to zero! For some implausible reason it only pauses to display the weight at higher loads. (Not sure what the threshold is and I don't intend to find out because I'm going to return this waste of space.)But WHY!? What is the point? Did the company ever consider people want to weigh items that are only a few kilograms? It is so frustrating to operate low weight items. What a careless, mindless company. Will return it... and never return to Salter again for their lack of common sense.

Sleek and stylish.
This scale is beautiful, stylish and easy to use. One of the best features is not having to think about changing the battery, you can just charge it when needed . Thanks to SALTER for such a beautiful gadget. 👍🏾

So pleased with these. I hate the waste of batteries and this will never run out. They are easy to use and accurate. They are stylish and very compact so easy to store away.
