Just know what these are
These are a nice rugged adaptable utility flashlight. Everything is a tradeoff. I particularly placed great importance in using 18650 lithium cells, as I already have the support infrastructure ( all sorts of chargers and lots of individual 18650 industrial cells recovered from spent power tool battery packs ). See YouTube if you are not aware of what I am doing. These are made in a way they can be disassembled for complete cleanings or swapping parts in case of severe damage, however I caution one against opening the reflector assembly. Dust will get in and be nearly impossible to remove. These actually have replaceable LED/reflector assemblies in various colors. Infrared, and ultraviolet. But the assemblies are usually more expensive than simply getting another flashlight.Incidentally, all the "smarts" , that is 5-mode, blinking, SOS, whatever, is in the LED/reflector module. All the end cap switch does is open and close. If you are troubleshooting, a simple key shorting the negative end of the 18650 to the aluminum frame of the flashlight ( end cap removed ) will quickly perform the function of the end cap switch.Get decent high current batteries for these. I have found even the cells from "spent" power tools to work great. These lights pull a lot of current! 1000 lumens? That's coming up on 10 watts! At 3.6 volts, that's right at 3 amps. On high, even a good high current cell will deplete pretty fast! Half an hour maybe? And the flashlight will get quite warm. All of mine do this. That's why these are made this way. The aluminum housing is also a heat sink. This vendor sells without batteries. That is a good thing. I have found the lithium batteries shipped with things like this vastly inferior to even reclaimed cells of spent power tool packs. Not only that, the logistics companies charge extra fees for transporting them. America, you have more 18650 around than you know what to do with! But most of you don't know how to use what you have! Most of my 18650 are over ten years old and still working fine! And Amazon sells really nice chargers that will tell you what condition your cell is in.If your light seems to develop a " bad connection" requiring fiddling with it's power button, it's likely the little retaining ring in the end cap switch assembly. There are two little holes in it that provide a means for unscrewing it for disassembly,. All it takes is a tiny loosening/retightening.All of my previous WF502 have done this. I think it is because of how fast aluminum oxidizes and thermal expansion effects. A variant of the problem of aluminum house wiring.I have about a dozen of these, and am well pleased with this particular design. I don't have anything else but these anymore. These are not the cheapest light, but in the long run, these are maintainable, and the ones I have seen so far took the trouble to do proper thermal design so the LED should last.If this review seems long, it's just one engineer trying to tell the marketing community they finally designed a proper flashlight. My family uses them, my extended family uses them, and if I had my say, this would be the standard design of a flashlight. No, I was not paid to write this. It is in my interest, and many others, that this design succeed, and our progeny benefit from it.

Best flashlight for the money-ULTRAFIRE WF-502B LED
ULTRAFIRE WF-502B LED I have these all over the house, practically indestructible. 3-pak is a good buy, if you have the batteries and charger. 18650 batteries last a long time and are reasonably priced. Well machined out of aircraft grade aluminum.

Good product,poor execution
These are great lights for what I use them for. I ordered the 3 pk and only received 2. I'm having to return for them to send me another 3pk. I really just needed one sent. Just annoying process. Product is really good though. Just wish I would have gotten 3 instead of 2.

Nice
Very bright and last

Mostly spot, not much spill
Better for moderate distance use, spot is bright but very tight and spill is almost unusable. Spot to small and bright for up close, spill to dim for anything. My last ultrafire lasted years with lots of drops and impacts, it had a great balance of wider spot and good throw, could be used close to moderate range. This identical model number is a bit disappointing for my use.

Not bright compare to prior WF-502B versions
I've purchased plenty of B502 lights from SureFire in the past and always had good light output. These lights however are dim compared to the older models. Not sure what LED they're using but they could do for a better one that's for sure.

Only received One light
The flashlight is great, but I ordered the 3 pack and only got one. Extremely disappointed considering it’s even fulfilled by Amazon.

Not bright at all
I bought the 3 pack because I bought some extra batteries awhile back and wanted to put them to use. After charging the UltraFire batteries and putting them into the new flashlights they were all very bright during the first day of use. After the first day, my cheap Walmart flashlight does a better job.
