Great phone case
My husband has had this case for over a year now and it is still going strong. he cuts grass and works around water a lot. We had to take his phone in for service and they saw that the case was all wet. They were thinking the phone was acting up because of that, but no! it was dry as a bone! The Apple store employee was super impressed! It is a little thick but that is to be expected. My husband has dropped his a few hundred times and no problems have occurred. He said that it has a small hairline crack in it, but nothing bad enough to warrant having to get a new case. My only pet peeve is that hinge stand on the back doesn't like to stay closed any longer. I wish that it had some sort of snap to keep it closed. Wish we had this on my daughters phone last week when she jumped into a pool with her phone in her pocket! It might still work instead she had a speck case and the phone was toast.

Goodbye Otterbox
Ordered the Trident AMS for the iPhone 4S after a long search to replace the Otterbox Defender. The Otterbox silicone outer cover lasted less than six months before it began to lose it's shape and snugness around the inner plastic cover. Read some reviews and watched a couple of reviews on YouTube on the Trident case and decided to give it a try.The design seems great. The silicone cover goes under the hard outer case. The corners are really the only areas where the silicone is exposed. The built in screen protector seems to work very well. The kickstand on the back is a nice feature. It can be easily removed if one does not want it attached, but it folds up and does not get in the way.The overall size is just slightly larger than the Otterbox, but it is so slight.....you can hardly tell the difference. At this point, the only concern I have is how long the belt clip will hold up. Can't say anything negative on this because have only had it a few days.Overall, this case seems really good. I love the fact that it has all the protection, but the silicone can never stretch out and lose its grip on the phone.

Good protection but bad holster design
My biggest complaint about this case is the way it clips into the holster. There is a cross-shaped cut out on both sides of the case and a cross-shaped piece that sticks out on the holster that has to fit into the case. If you don't have it lined up exactly it won't clip in. It's not bad if you're looking at it, but if you have the holster on your belt and you're trying to clip it, it can be very difficult. The case is difficult to put on the phone. It protects the phone pretty well but will come apart if dropped. The silicone port cover over the ringer on/off button came off after a couple months. I haven't tried taking it apart to see if it will reattach. I bought this because I was looking for something offering the protection of an Otter Defender for a much lower price. It seems to protect just as well, but I just bought another Otter because I hate the way it clips into the holster.

Great case for about a week...
I was so excited about this case...The plastic shell is cheap and flimsythe little flaps for the headphone jack and the charger port were also flimsy and broke off in the first week. Then one drop from my pocket on a tile floor and... crack in the plastic

I love the way that this case looks
I love the way that this case looks! I bought it for my husband and he did not keep it for a week. There are no directions for putting the case on so we had to figure that part out. The outside is smooth so it slides everywhere...I would recommend the Griffin Case, but you may buy it and have a different experience.

You really won't regret buying this
The only thing that scratched the built in screen protector was when I held it with my teeth to shine the flashlight on a lock I needed two hands to open.I found this brand of cases in my searches when I figured out that the only phone I could afford was an iphone 4s, since my 3 year old HTC was needing repairs every other month, and I didn't have time for that. I ordered one, figuring it was cheap enough that even if it didn't work, at least I had sprint insurance on my phone, but the military standards this case had been tested against seemed promising anyways. I go to school for fine arts, so I knew my phone would be covered in wet clay and dust from all different kinds of metal, as well as soot and who knows what else. After 8 months of being dropped in wet clay, nearly burned with torches, being tossed across the street (accidentally) a number of times, being dropped on trains, falling off a 15 foot flyrail onto a stage, and falling onto hardwood floors endlessly, a small piece of the plastic began to break. I still had a struggle taking it off my phone, but my phone underneath was still in absolutely perfect condition. The only bit with any dust in it was the speaker at the top-- even the speakers on the bottom and the charging port are still spotless. There are faint marks from rubbing around certain joints on the case but I haven't actually tried very hard to get them off so it's very possibly they aren't permanent. It also comes with front and back stick-on screen protectors, which would probably have protected against this had I thought that far ahead. This case is perfect for anyone who knows they get into a lot of messes and I would highly recommend it to anyone with a job or hobbies that involve heights, dust or wet things especially. I also bought my mom one with a little bit less protection since she works in a hospital, so she's not using it usually in messy situations, but it's an iphone nonetheless and is going to shatter without a pretty solid case. This is a pretty freakin solid case.

Good case, bad belt clip.
I like this product a lot for its quality based on its price. But the belt clip is poorly designed. Not only does it take a bit of daily use practice to master a secure belt clip in (make sure you hear the click or your phone will go tumbling), but the belt clip broke after two weeks of use as i was sitting into my car when the phone got caught on the seat. The clip broke and now im using a makshift zip-tie to hold the rest of the clip on my belt. The case is sturdy though.
