Great product, abysmal installation instructions
This is a very well made product and it looks great when installed however don't attempt to put this in yourself unless you are very handy with home projects, the installation instructions are abysmal. The instructions are based around a RHS opening only so you have to be aware to reverse the instructions and parts used for a LHS opening. In addition their are optional pieces (seals etc) with an instruction to use either part A or part B with no guidance as to which part to use and why. Also the door is heavy, you will definitely need a second pair of hands for that part. I suspect faulty installation is behind most of the comments regarding leaks, when installed properly it is water tight even without silicone caulking

great looking door!
we love this shower door. we did not give it 5 full stars for 2 reasons. the top angle bracket needs a stronger screw for adequate support. first screw stripped, cheaply made. the other reason is for the glass shelves. an option to plug the holes and opt out of using the shelves would be nice. right now the metal mounts are inserted into the holes. can't tell from the outside, but from inside the shower it looks unfinished. also, when it says not to have the shower head spray onto the doors, they mean it. the door will leak. we may be switching shower heads for this reason. right now we can tilt the head as far to the right as possible and it seems to control the leaking, but it's a little impractical. the look of this door is great and we couldn't be happier.

I love my new door, BUT…
2021 Update…I’ve had the door for a few years. As far as a door, keeping water in, it works great. I lowered the stars rating because of some other things. I bought the bronze color. All of the “paint” on ALL of the metal has peeled off in flakes that stick to everything. The hinges peeled, the door handle peeled, the wall arm peeled. It started within a year and kept going. The company said it might be harsh chemicals but I only use Scrubbing Bubbles and if you can’t use that then it’s not very good paint. I’m going to be remodeling the bathroom so I’m going to take the door down and strip the little bits that are left so it looks better. The clear pads behind the hinges slip out a lot too and I don’t want to over tighten them and crack the glass plus the little rubber screw covers pop off all the time. Better than a curtain though.I love my new door. No more 1970's door with metal to grow mold. Very sleek design. I bought the 30 to 36 inch size. After reading the instructions it made more sense but the instructions are pretty bad. Strange wording with strange descriptions of parts. Nothing to tell you if they mean facing in or out of the shower. Take your time and double check everything before you install it. The plastic strips especially. The one on the bottom needs to be cut longer than the door according to VIGO and then you cut the hard plastic off and just leave the rubber strip hanging over to stop water from getting out. If not there is a small gap. Never mentions that anywhere. Also VIGO told me to caulk around the wall clamps on the glass, on the inside of the shower. It never mentions that in the instructions. With the 2 panel model there isn't a real stopper to stop the door when you close it. I was afraid someone might try to over close the door and damage it so I installed on the wall a nice stainless brushed steel door stop with a rubber tip as a door stop. It only sticks out one inch. I bought it on Amazon. I did use wall anchors for all of the pieces since a stud wasn't close by. I applied a GE brand super industrial silicone adhesive behind each piece for extra hold. I bought it at Lowes. Sticks to the tile and dries fast. I paid $620 plus shipping on Amazon and it said it was the last one. A few days later a different Amazon supplier had the same size/color for $725 so shop around. I think Lowes and Homedepot sell these too but not in the size I needed.

Well designed and made product and kit; screws are crappy.
In general, this is a well designed and well made product. The instructions are detailed and mostly accurate. The packaging was sturdy enough that it protects the glass and other pieces well. The finish on the chrome parts looks to,be of amhigh quality, and is well protected for shipping. All of the hardware is well organized, grouped and packaged in a way that allows for easy verification of contents. The success of how this will work for you is all in the layout and planning. Plan ahead to make sure you have backing studs on both sides of the shower - this will eliminate the need for hollow-wall anchors. Be precise in your layout, draw lines that can be erased, and double measure everything before drilling any holes. My suggestion is buy a bunch of quarter-inch diamond drill bits (they’re pretty cheap on Amazon, and you’ll be glad you don’t have to run to the hardware store half-way through), as well as a couple 3/8in if you intend on using molly-screws. Buy your silicon sealer in advance, don’t wait till later. My only complaint is that the stainless steel screws that come with the assembly are complete crap and were too short to penetrate through the bracket, 7/16in tile, 1/8in mortar bed, 1/2in cement board, and still have enough thread to hold in the backing; they needed to be at least 2-1/2 or 2-3/4in long. Plan ahead and buy half a dozen good quality stainless screws, no shorter than 2-3/4in. Other than that, its a good product.

Glass shower door
This shower door looks pretty good. There are a couple of things I don't like about the design. There are 2 plastic strips that run the length of the door at the edges, where it closes-- couldn't really see this in the photo of it on Amazon. If I had known this I wouldn't have purchased. And, because it is adjustable, the glass panels will overlap. This happens if your door space is less wide than this adjustable door will accommodate for. My concern is that it wont be that easy to keep clean. It is tempered glass and cannot be cut to perfect size. This door was put in a hall/guest bathroom, not the en suite for the master bedroom -- so my complaints wont stare me in the face every day. This door is very heavy and for safety reasons must be installed correctly. This shower door cost nearly 1000.00, but a custom door would have cost more. When I had a question about installation, someone from VIGO was very prompt and helpful.

Take your time.
I don’t think a novice should tackle this installation. It’s a unique design and it takes a bit to get your head around how it actually works. The finished installation looks really nice though.

Great shower door.
I just finished the installation of the shower door and I have to say it: it looks fantastic.I had a series of few problems with the delivery (it came late) but after contacting the supplier they were quick in resolving the issues and their response was reasonable and on timely manner.Regarding the door as I said it looks really good. It is to some extend easy to install but rather you have somebody helping you out. The great advantage is that you can install the door to the size of the shower as it can be adjusted accordinglyThe instructions that came with the door were clear and easy to follow.Overall I find this product good in appearance, and the service from the supplier reasonable.
